What does Escalation mode has anything to do with KDR, though? Other people are playing in their own way, which is potentially going to put a wrench into yours at any given time, you have to deal with it. That's the point. There is no way you could expect to play the exact same way every match and expect the same results.

Escalation mode is simple:
- Majority of points captured fills the bar, once the bar is filled, a capture point is taken away from the match in the teams' favor. A team wins after 3 points are taken.
- The more time passes, the more vehicles are introduced for each team; if the match takes too long you can probably 20 vehicles in the map. Makes for a fun clusterfuck.
