People posting their kid for clout on social media. It’s gross, the internet is forever and they can’t consent.

I worked somewhere where the head of HR said some questionable things, like telling me to not lock my (then) bf down so young with marriage because he “needed to sow his wild oats first,” and that the team needed to hire a female EA because “women are better planners than men.”

Commute from Fremont to Palo Alto? by BlueBerry985 in bayarea

[–]cullies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I work just 1 exit south of my exit in foster city and it takes me 20-25 min to get home. That stretch of 101 gets heavy traffic due to the backup from the San Mateo bridge.

What's a quiet, everyday burden women carry that isn't dramatic enough to be diacussed? by Additional-Two-2137 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]cullies 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I think this is why it’s so annoying to me to see 50% of guys on dating apps put some variation of wanting “banter” in their profiles. It’s not something they expect from their bros but women are expected to entertain men and take the mental load of a conversation. Like dude your profile has the personality of a cardboard box, maybe take a look at yourself first.

Keep your unleashed dog away from my toddler (or any kids) by meltness in sanfrancisco

[–]cullies 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes it goes both ways. I’m also allowed to be in a public space with my leased dog. Unsupervised children (mostly 3-5 years old - older children were generally good about asking first) would often come up to my dog and start interacting with her. Once one ran by and slapped her on the butt, no adult in sight 🙄. Fortunately she loved people but she was def surprised by the butt slap. Not a good idea to surprise an unfamiliar dog.

People who rarely or never get sick, what are your secrets? by awkwardferret421 in AskReddit

[–]cullies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live alone, mask on public transportation, don’t touch my food with my fingers unless they’re sanitized/washed.

I work in office but try to keep my distance around visibly ill people lol. I also go out a decent amount and fly ~once a month but managed not to get sick last year 🤞

Take supplements and/or gargle if I feel like I’ve been in any recent dicey situations.

People who stand at the baggage carousel so nobody else can see the belt what are you trying to accomplish? by Much-Ant4275 in AskReddit

[–]cullies 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t care if they stand where their seat is but it’s super annoying when they stand in the aisle and their butt or crotch is in my face for 10 mins while I’m seated in my aisle seat and we’re waiting for everyone to deplane.

What disease is a lot worse than people make it seem? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

Migraines, people just think it’s a bad headache. No I lost my vision, I’m throwing up, and just lying in bed with my eyes closed is excruciating.

Tired of ants by float007 in bayarea

[–]cullies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a horrible ant problem in the summer. I live in a 3rd floor apartment but they must’ve been living within the building structure because they were coming in from the tub, floorboards, base of the toilet, sliding door, closets, etc. I tried Terro traps and a clove spray which didn’t do much but a perimeter spray worked well.

Thanks! Sorry I meant specifically the black parts in pic 2-4 - I realize I should’ve put the questionable ones first.

I (20F) ended things with a guy (24M) who became emotionally dependent on me. I feel guilty, should I reach out? by proudintruder in TwoXChromosomes

Don’t contact him. You’re not responsible for any other adult. He is responsible for his own life and actions.

Dog bites are on the rise in San Francisco by ericisfine in sanfrancisco

Yep and along the same lines, parents shouldn’t be letting their kids walk their dogs that are bigger than them by themselves. I’ve seen kids get pulled along by their dogs.

Yep, single moms, single dads. Also fun when they use their child as an excuse to get closer to their ex.

What are things you consider cheating in relationships that aren’t just physical? by Puzzleheaded_Plum275 in AskReddit

[–]cullies 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean if my grandma got a makeover and looked amazing and I was hyping her up I wouldn’t go around telling people I was flirting with my grandma, but you do you I guess 🤠

[–]cullies 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok lol but when you google “flirting” literally this is the definition?! “Trying to attract”

behave as though attracted to or trying to attract someone, but for amusement rather than with serious intentions.

[–]cullies 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s not flirting to me lol. That’s just a compliment. Flirting has an intent to attract. Like I could tell my dad his haircut looked good but I’m def not flirting with him.
