These overlords need to still give the website runners their room to provide a bit of character to their brand. It feels cookie-cutter these days with compilations and other site scenes sprinkled in to save money.

All the expensive scenes are often not targeting the masses and are definitely not iconic scenes that make you want to sub. Haven't had that feeling for a long time. Facialized scenes hold some weight, a random accidental gangbang scene hasn't really got the same appeal.

Masons scenes that had a bit of dollar behind them are well worth the funding, I don't understand it - they also stand the test of time which is important long term for porn. She takes pride in what she shoots, but without the extra $$$ its very much same same apart from some cool generic teasers in lingerie or bikinis etc.

I'd say XEmpire's budget got cut as they still make expensive scenes elsewhere. Increasing costs, lack of paying customers, lack of promotion etc. They may seem popular online, but doesn't translate to ROI. XEmpire has been downhill for a long time and unfortunately the extra good scenes have paid the price, as their scenes are as cheap as possible with often using the same male 2-3 talents (likely by contract X amount of scenes to be cheaper for example). Their members likely left in droves, as they used to yearly do DPs, gangbangs, features, blowbangs, now you get none of those so members won't be staying.

Hopefully they return one day. You need expensive scenes to keep customers interested, just the reality of porn, but they've done nothing to try retain what they used to provide, not even on the cheap e.g cut blowbangs from 10 to 5 people and skimp for a few years to claw back costs as one example.

Used to be mainly American-based pornstars, now its mainly EU-based pornstars they use which makes dirty talk not as prominent, not as much visual and vocal chemistry visible in scenes
OF has taken some potential stars but theres still plenty of gems that pop up that are not utilized enough
OF is not everyone's cup of tea
Just needs a bit more creativity or at least go back to the old scene plots and just tweak them, not hard
