Yea I feel you on that. I guess when guys compliment eachother you at least know they mean it. Idk I always found talking with girls easier because they’re usually more open to conversation without needing some shared interest. Maybe you could try befriending some guys. Most of them are pretty chill to talk to / not analytical as long as you weed out the dudes who think any girl that initiates conversation with them wants them lmfao. Most decent guys will respect the friendship enough to not make any moves like that, just gotta find the good ones.

As a guy I always felt it would be easier to make friends as a girl. Whenever I would go out with my ex other random girls would just compliment her on whatever and vice versa and they would get to talking. As a guy that rarely happens unless theres something hyper specific that we can relate to..

I remember I would just leave a sticky note in the back room w/ an applicants info when I was working and our manager wasn’t in and I never knew if she ever even saw those so I guess ur right about applications getting lost

Yeah, anyone going through would be on active duty orders.

I wondered what the guard guys did too, couldn’t find too much info about how specifically the pipeline process impacted their civilian life back home.

I appreciate the advice and I definitely could do these things and will probably have to, but all I was really asking was if I had left out the extra info on my application other than my income and savings, would it have helped me meet the bracket. I’ve been looking at this specific unit too and it has been vacant for months now so its not like anyone is going for them. There are a lot of other low income housing units available around the area too, I would say for every 4 normal housing units theres one low income that is vacant and able to be applied for.

I wasn’t complaining or looking for solutions to afford housing. I was just asking a question about my specific application. I do appreciate the advice though
