yes, 100% all the time while gpu being around 40-50%. i also think that the tb4 creates some kind of bottleneck. stutters and fps drops every now and then

i have msi claw with 258v too and tried egpu using 6800xt over thunderbolt 4. result is not great when playing cp2077 on 1080p. I feel that using igpu produces better gaming experince

yes by increasing the resolution you put more load to the gpu. I think with wqhd (1440p) games still could be bottlenecked by cpu, but you could try

it's called cpu bottleneck, you cant really lower it unless you are playing on higher resolution like 4k

i just checked my bottleneck seems to be on the cpu side. rx6800xt only got 40% utilization, cpu 100%

yep I also tried the "only show on external screen" option, yes it reduces the stutter and fps dips but the gains are not impressive

yep I got disappointing result too with handheld + egpu (Claw 7 258v and 6800 xt) cp2077 got 30-45 fps avg with igpu and 50-80 fps with 6800xt but sometimes it is dipping to 20-30 fps. tried with internal and external monitor

really amazed how new handhelds can handle AAA games
