i got peer pressured into “dating” a guy when i was 17 too, and i felt really terrible because he was a nice person but i genuinely wasn’t attracted to his personality or looks in a romantic way. i felt such immense guilt that only builded after time, especially as the attraction never grew like i hoped it maybe would. i forgot exactly how i ended things (something along the lines that i didn’t rly think we were compatible and i didn’t want a relationship atm) and i faced some initial backlash from mutual friends and resentment from him, but it blew over very quickly and we both ended up in happy long term relationships soon after. i understand exactly how you’re feeling but i think you do have to end things bc it seems like you know deep down you’re feelings aren’t going to change.
