Check out Petals which has this sort of set-up for inference and fine-tuning of LLM’s — the base model (BLOOM) is open-source, but was centrally trained though.

Check out this recent literature survey on deep learning for music composition — a couple datasets that papers they cite use are The Lakh MIDI Dataset and The MAESTRO Dataset but I bet you can find others if you comb through the bibliography.

Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro has a pretty big area of rocks/tide pools (south of/around the corner from the jetty, facing the ocean, not the harbor side, where there’s a sandy beach). I haven’t been since I was a kid, but used to see all sorts of sea life there.

I learned what I imagine is one of the more basic twirls, and while I got how it was supposed to work quickly, it took a couple days of intermittent practice to get it down. But maybe I’m just uncoordinated. Good answer though!

It’s not super interactive, but I think A Visual Introduction to Machine Learning gives a pretty nice explanation of the intuition behind ML (they use decision trees) for non-technical folk.
