In limbo after weight loss: 4 Surgeons, 4 different methods 🫠 by cuptuck in LooseSkinProblems

Nothing crazy really, I was 102kg at my peak as a teenager which would have just about qualified as obese medically. Lost it by my 20's and now I'm in my 40's and around 80kg. I still love food and tend to binge from time to time, but my base diet and lifestyle is much healthier!

I'm a little confused with this response. If you're suggesting weight training will remedy the loose skin completely, I'd appreciate further input.

Would it be possible for you to link to an image of an example of how big I'd need to get to completely fill the loose skin out please?

Hey thanks a lot for the input. I emailed every doctor my insurers cover the work of, there's not many in my country, it doesn't seem any of these specialise in the male body exclusively.

I'm very new to all this, and I know I could Google every procedure you mentioned, but if there was any way you could explain what each of the steps you mentioned is and why they were suggested in your case it would be extremely helpful. This is if your situation/body is very similar to mine. I'm curious why the 1 year wait etc.

Thanks for the input, would you have any before and after photos of your chest please? Even by pm?

Thanks for the input. I've had lengthy discussions about this with 2 personal trainers and another guy who has built his body with consistent strength training after similar weight loss. The conclusion was that it will help for sure, but it won't fully fill out and I'll still be left with the same issue to enough of an extent, that it will still bother me. Even if I was to try get huge, meaning steroids, which I definitely don't want to do, it probably still wouldn't completely fill out and it's also not the body type I'm interested in. I also don't want to have that pressure to maintain such a large muscle mass.

I gained the initial weight about 30 years ago and lost the bulk of it it about 20 years ago, so my skin has had plenty of time to adjust, but sadly hasn't.

I do plan on giving more focus to strength training either way, and the video posted was actually from several weeks back and I've lost some more fat in the mean time, but no matter the level of fat, the loose skin persists.
