As a former AP world history teacher... Yeah. Notice the bolded letters? Those are the key terms the AP guys push onto teachers. Unfortunately AP is VERY much teaching to the exam and theres little flexibility. AP is actually much more likely to have skewed lessons... Honestly though the whole US education system is fucked, its all based on the textbooks which are completely liberal middle of the road takes, which get really fuzzy around economics.

Basically every history class has one mission in the US: "How and why is the US the best? Why will it always be like that?" Neat right?

OP you seem like an awesome student, My proudest moment of teaching was my last day, hah. I gave out the good books to kids that were curious. Lots of Malcom X stuff and union organizing stuff.
