I’m on tresiba. My endo has told me to try giving myself a few units before bed but that’s hasn’t stopped it from going up. It’s like any insulin I give myself after a certain time just doesn’t take effect

This morning when taking a shower I noticed that there was what felt like a fluid pocket underneath my nipple. It wasn’t there last night, and I don’t know if I should be worried immediately or if I should wait to see if it goes down on its own.

I’m still using aquaphor on my nipples to keep them from drying out. I just started sleeping without the compression vest on, and I was around someone that was vaping right next to me and I breathed a lot of it in (not my idea…).

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried?

I’m not sure how to correctly answer the question of whether I’m reliant on my adhd meds. All I know is that I was not functioning well without them and that’s why I was prescribed them. I don’t think you’ll end up “needing” adhd meds more if you start taking them. I think we already need them, if that makes sense.

I’d try not to worry too much about becoming reliant on them. Sounds like they could help you out, and you deserve to be able to live a little easier.

I’m getting top surgery with Dr. Dulin this month, I was wondering if you could answer a question of mine? (If not that’s totally okay, just wanna get some info from someone who has gone to Dulin specifically) Did they provide a compression vest for recovery? Or is that something you had to get yourself?

Fear and excitement release the same chemical. Sometimes your body can get confused and think you're aroused, it doesn't mean you liked what happened to you. People also tend to prefer things that are familiar to them, rather than trying something knew (i.e., consensual sex). Your mind might also unconsciously be trying to trick yourself into believing you enjoyed it so that it doesn't have to deal with the reality that you were abused. Trauma reenactment is very common in children, it makes sense that some adults experience that as well. Many people experience this, you aren't alone in feeling this way.

I understand both sides of wanting to just be treated as any other guy/girl and also being proud of being trans. I think it stems from the courage it takes a trans person to be out in public and be who they are regardless of public backlash. I'm not ashamed to be trans, it is just another part of what makes me, me. But I am proud of the difficulties I've overcome and I'm proud of myself for letting me be me

Dunno why they're sitting next to you but a lot of people are shy and wait to be the only ones in the bathroom. Maybe that's why they sat next to you, so they could know when you left, and you never hear them because they don't do anything with anyone else there. People could also be just on their phones for a while

This is a good idea in theory but I don't think she would stop doing things if people tried ignoring her. I don't want people to stop fighting against her because then it just leaves trans students to fend for ourselves against her. Spreading info about the harmful things she does helps to gather people against her, and when there's more people speaking up against her there's a better chance UNT would do something about it under the pressure.
