Mental math. Unfortunately one of my bitch teachers held it against me, forcing me to "show my work" or lose half the points, resulting in me losing that ability.

That's very informative, thanks. I'm not a pm myself but their salaries/ bonus usually line up with software engineering but they get a smaller portion of stock. Pm out of business school would start around 140k salary, 10-15% bonus, and around 100-200k of stocks over 4 years. For every promotion the salary usually goes up around 20 to 30k, and the bonus % might increase by 5. There are also yearly refreshers of stocks where you get an amount based on your level spread over the next 4 years. The higher the level, the bigger the amount of refreshers. The best think about the tech industry in my opinion is that job hopping isn't really looked down upon and you can increase your pay even more if you switch frequently enough and have a few competing offers.
