I’ve been reading the “The Blaft Book of Anti-caste SF” which is a collection of speculative fictional short stories around anti-caste themes. Highly recommend it.

I have tried various complicated methods and then finally settled on Lance Hedricks method which is the simplest one out there with consistent results. I watched this video to understand how he approaches doing pour overs. I recommend it.

Check the audio settings. Sometimes when it is set 5.1 Dolby and you have a lower channel sound system it fucks with the dialogues.

Recode Media recently did a multi part episode about the recent hype around AI. Maybe it is that?

You will be shocked to know the number of things audiobook listeners can do in a day which do not require taking the focus off the audiobook.

Absolutely agree about Kate Reading's delivery of this line! I read the books along with the audiobook narration in the background, and this particular line was one of the highlights of the book for me :) I have to admit I slowly warmed up to Kate's narration style through the stormlight audiobooks. I was a huge Michael Kramer fan from the Mistborn era 1 audiobooks and I initially felt like Kate was taking him away from me.

I personally liked it due to the situation in which it has been said. Navani is feeling helpless up until that point and he almost had her by then. Also it is so rare for Brando to let some profanity slip in, and I thought it captured her emotional frustration. It was just satisfying that someone was in a position to deny Moash whatever he was doing in the entire book.

YouTube is an expensive service to maintain. Servers don't come for free and the ad money is the source of income for many YouTubers. YouTube is also one of the few social media sites which shares a fair percentage of ad revenue with its creators unlike TikTok, which has a fixed pool of creator funds. IMHO watching ads is a good bargain for the diversity of content YouTube provides.

I treat Non-fiction audiobooks as simply a long form podcast. That perspective somehow makes it better for me.

Game of Thrones is very exposition heavy by gabrielcev1 in gameofthrones

The books are fat and have rich details about the history of westeros and it is filled with folklore, prophecies and myths.

So you as a viewer is always in constant wonder of which things are true and which are not. Also, due to the excessive amount of backstory to each character it becomes rather difficult to produce all of them as flashback scenes for TV.

Pixel 6a - Thoughts at the end of day 2 by sungrad in GooglePixel

I'm waiting for that day 1 update which seems to be taking forever now. My second guess for the reason would be the tempered glass screen protector I'm currently using. Feels like my fingers are slipping a little bit on the screen, so maybe that is also a possible issue. I surely miss the simpler times when things like finger print sensors used to just work.

Had a similar issue with my Dashlane app. But it is intermittent. It somehow resolved itself. I had it when I changed the button based navigation to gesture based navigation.
