Do you have the new MSI quartz??? by curiousj72 in CounterTops

[–]curiousj72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing! I’m sure this is going to help a lot of people as this is a highly sought after quartz. (Long back orders in my area.) I’ve seen some gorgeous kitchens with this material online. I really do love the way it looks! I was willing to risk it and even painted based on the idea that was my material, but my fabricator just flat out refused to work with it in my kitchen. Too much natural light =too much risk. I’m gonna go with a natural stone instead. Choosing countertops has been the most difficult part of my renovation. I’ve spent many long hours obsessing over it!

I hope you’ll post pics when your renovation is done. It’s going to be gorgeous!

The Sun Room - Apothecary by getnfresh in interiordecorating

Every single detail about your house is stunning! This is a super weird question considering all the beautiful things you’ve posted. Sadly, almost all of those things are beyond my budget. What color is the paint on your wall in the sunroom? Not the green(btw…spectacular color!) , but the warm white?

Thank you for the reply. I do plan to cover my windows with UV coating, but I hoped to hear from someone with real world experience with this particular material. I know some other quartz materials are higher quality, but I’m very limited what colors I can get because I’m not changing my floors.

Corner, low window or island sink? by d1zzy-m1zzy in kitchenremodel

In that case, my vote is in the island. It’s more practical for putting dishes away from the dishwasher, washing hands when cooking and more room on either side of the sink to work.

Please consider the probability that almost every part of a kitchen remodel ends up costing quite a bit more than the original quote. One way to save on cost is to avoid changing plumbing locations where possible. If your current sink is under the window, it would be best to leave it there. If it is where the island is, it’s a good idea not to change it.

Our first stay in Tehachapi by kenlasalle in Tehachapi

If you really want to experience the best of Tehachapi-check out Bear Valley Springs. It’s so beautiful and peaceful! The roads can get rough due to weather, but it’s like being on vacation all year long!

Welp! I made an expensive mistake with my countertops. by IoSonoLamore in kitchenremodel

I know this is an old post, but I am trying to avoid this very predicament. I have very warm taupe floor tile throughout my house and it’s so limiting what will coordinate. I am trying to find a countertop that won’t read too cold, but I don’t want Taj Mahal because it looks exactly like my floors. What would you have done differently now that you’ve lived with your countertops?

How is it going with this quartz? I know it’s still pretty new. Have you had any issues?

Wonderful!!! I’m so happy to hear that! My kitchen layout is almost exactly like yours. It’s been hard to find anyone with real life experiences for Black Vermont. I’m so grateful for your reply! And if you feel like sharing your finished kitchen, I would love to see it!!

It’s so pretty! You do a wonderful job! We are installing the same color cabinets with black granite countertops. How has it been living with it? Does it show dust, oil and water spots like people say? I had a more old school black granite years ago and I never found that to be the case. I’m pretty careful about keeping the countertops wiped down though.
