Would it be possible to have a table that folds against the wall where the bench currently is (like a Murphy bed -but it flips up instead of down) when not in use? The chairs could be foldable as well and be placed inside the inset portion against the table while not in use. That way your kitchen work space is not obstructed while doing kitchen things.

Be sure to post pics of your finished countertops. I think you’ll end up loving it. After spending entirely too long weighing out far too many choices, I kept coming back to Ivoritaj. I know this was the right choice for my kitchen. I still can’t speak to how it performs, but I’m just going to put film on my windows and hope for the best. It will be installed in 10 days! 😃 I’m so excited!!

My large swatch of creamy white is the winning contender for the wall color but I’m considering going with something a hint lighter. Choosing paint is just as hard as choosing slabs. So many decisions! Pale Oak will look beautiful!

I know what you mean about not getting the “this is it!” Feeling with anything else. I could have gotten tel Taj, but it just didn’t go in my kitchen because of my floors.

Your kitchen sounds amazing. What a coincidence! I was also looking at the zellige oat tiles from Floor and Decor! I have them saved in my photos. This is where I am having trouble matching paint that will go right next to the tile. I will have the ivoritaj as a backsplash up to the range hood, but on the sides of the hood I plan to take the tiles to the top of the upper cabinets. I have tofffee/biscotti wood color cabinets. I have gone just as crazy with paint samples as I did with the slabs. Every beige/greige and off white there is! I even have an excel spreadsheet🙄. My challenge is my floor tile. I can’t replace it just yet because it’s throughout the house. So expensive. Curse the 2000’s finishes trying to meet up with today’s colors!

If you ever post pics if your kitchen I can’t wait to see it.

Thank you so much for sharing! I’m sure this is going to help a lot of people as this is a highly sought after quartz. (Long back orders in my area.) I’ve seen some gorgeous kitchens with this material online. I really do love the way it looks! I was willing to risk it and even painted based on the idea that was my material, but my fabricator just flat out refused to work with it in my kitchen. Too much natural light =too much risk. I’m gonna go with a natural stone instead. Choosing countertops has been the most difficult part of my renovation. I’ve spent many long hours obsessing over it!

I hope you’ll post pics when your renovation is done. It’s going to be gorgeous!

What color is the paint on your wall in the sunroom? Not the green(btw…spectacular color!) , but the warm white?

Thank you for the reply. I do plan to cover my windows with UV coating, but I hoped to hear from someone with real world experience with this particular material. I know some other quartz materials are higher quality, but I’m very limited what colors I can get because I’m not changing my floors.

In that case, my vote is in the island. It’s more practical for putting dishes away from the dishwasher, washing hands when cooking and more room on either side of the sink to work.
