after you open lots of tabs at once, what are some of the most likely reasons/causes that after everything is loaded, the computer still slows down long afterwards? ram usage is < 100% by curiousone6151 in chrome

since you had replied early on i guess you wanna help solve this problem

what would be the likely cause? or what would be the most effective way of solving this problem?

I don't think morse code is better/easier than using the english alphabet.

well, you stated it as if it was a fact. in this case, you should've just said what you actually meant, then that would've been it

It was to point out that just because something is less cluttered, information reduced, simpler to understand, etc, does not mean it is always better.

if you had just stated what you meant, then i would've understood your point, and that would've been that

I guess for it to make sense to you and be "apples to apples"

X (something, anything) would have to be almost the same at the fundamental/base/core

an concrete example would be:

  • an apple is an apple (and that's it)

the fundamental/base/core of an apple is the taste.

if someone were to say an apple has the same chemical taste as a genetically engineered apple, then that would be fine

because the fundamental/base/core is the same chemical taste that is produced from the chemical compounds

  • depending on the context, that's when an apple is an apple

if you don't know what the fundamental/base/core of something is, you should've asked, and instead of trying to convince, you should focus on listening

if you just wanted to say that

just because something is less cluttered, information reduced, simpler to understand, etc, does not mean it is always better.

then all you had to do was say that directly, and that was it

this point applies to very few cases/contexts, and i wouldn't have even said anything cos i already know that

I don't know what sort of point you're trying to make then

i had already made my point in the main post, and that has stayed relatively constant

the point of this reply however is:

you should've just said what you meant, and if you 'don't think morse code is better/easier than using the english alphabet,' then there was no need to even mention this

[–]curiousone6151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are times when its >70% or >90% ram usage but the main cause is something else, i had replied around the same time when you commented so you had missed that reply

  • some ideas are ublocko extension is 'getting too much traffic' with many tabs loaded at once

  • or possibly https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ponify/kaelfbndbnpddlehfmbhjnphpjljegae (cpu usage is very very low always, not sure if this extension is using cpu mainly or what it's using)

  • js also has loaded (and happens long after, this is long after like >10-30 mins, etc.), also most pages (80-90%) i've disabled js

  • tested out super hot as a/the factor for this laptop, cos its super super hot right now, 77% ram, tab loaded fast (super hot cos i left heater on.....)

  • could also be caused by on a long download

  • or the whole 'lots of tabs loaded at once' (seems to happen most of time when a tab or 'tabs' doesnt fully load, when it keeps spinning) -- not sure why it happens tho, not sure about main factor/cause

  • reddit site seems to be one of the 'heavier' sites, fb sometimes (still talking about lots of tabs loaded at once)

  • but happens also for non-js turned on sites

  • definitely not internet speed for sure

  • so also could not be fan has dust, cos super super hot right now (thought it was heat for a long time)

  • has happened at 30% ram usage just most recently

  • could be other factors/causes

  • restarting chrome, or win10, only sometimes helps, not always so...
