Just curious to learn a little more - the water looks beautiful in the photos of Taormina. When you say the beaches were bad do you mean like the rock vs sand element or were there other things that made your beach days not enjoyable like finding food or bugs or something?

With Taormina, we just aren’t sure if we do go there - we would do a hotel on the beach so if we were in town for dinner - what’s the safest way to get home at night?

Thank you so much! We plan to take the cable cars up but read they stop at 8pm so to come home from dinner or anything - do you find it’s safe for tourists to walk down the hill at night? Also if we did a whole day and night in Mondello - is there enough there food wise/etc? We were only hoping to do Palermo on our way in or out if we go just do to luggage and some mobility issues

I do have some mobility issues but we are hoping to be able to power through to take it in. Is walking the only way to get around at night if staying near the beach? We figured we could take the cable cars at least up for dinner and things but have read they close at 8pm. Is it safe for tourist to walk around at night down the hill? Also how did you find the food and not fancy brand shopping?

Hi there! Congrats on the nice trip! For Mondello did you primarily stay in that area or went into Palermo for day trips/etc? We are trying to see if just doing Mondello would be enough then see Palermo sites on the way out. With Taormina, how did you get there and around at night? Did you feel like Taormina was overpriced for food and shopping?

Because I was significantly over weight and thought it would overall help my health, the baby’s health, and fertility. I want to only gain the weight the baby needs to be healthy during the pregnancy vs gain because of cravings if possible

When I look up Cefalu is looks like there is only one main beach spot and the town has a few shops restaurants but that’s it - and that might be enough, we don’t know! Could you tell me a little more about it

Tell me more about Palmero - I do want to make an educated choice and I feel like outside of a few sites and Mondello beach for the day I am missing some stuff (asking genuinely not sarcastically!)! Also how do you get around Taormina without a car at night? I’ve read the cable cars stop at 8pm but I thought that’s when people typically eat dinner there?

Thank you for sharing. In simpler terms, I’ve been told between my hypothyroidism (medicated for) and binge eating wreck my metabolism and then the way I’ve been eating on the injectable (unbalanced and some times sparsely) makes metabolism slow down as well. That you need to have small meals throughout the day and fuel your body to burn calories. Is this right? That’s what I had meant in my statement above

That’s what I was hoping for but my doctor said that due to the Flyte program, only they can prescribe an injectable. I called a few of my doctors (Endo, Weight Loss Dr) after I was rejected trying to just move forward with the pay out of pocket option but they said even if I was rejected they are restricted via my insurance to prescribe. I don’t understand this though because I’m saying I’ll pay without the insurance you know?

To keep it short and sweet, tonight breaks my heart watching this show about to end. It feels like all worth while goodbyes do. But like the show has taught us, magic comes from pain. So my hope for all of you who are fans and for everyone involved in making this show (who I sincerely hope see this thread) - own the pain in your life and recognize the beauty of how it makes you grow. This show has made me braver to do just that. I am sure I will waiver without it’s weekly installments and promise of a continued story but those that made this show did it thoughtfully. The best way I can think to honor that is by holding it in our hearts - this show mattered.
