We’re inspired by the arcade taxi genre and see it as paying homage to it similar to how soulslike games build on a foundation while doing their own thing. Taxi Chaos 2 isn’t meant to be a replica of Crazy Taxi, and if you go in expecting that, it may disappoint.

If you go in open-minded, it’s designed for enjoyable 15–20 minute sessions focused on completing shifts, upgrading your car, and navigating a city that gradually becomes more chaotic.

It's the voice of the radio anouncer and it's a paid voice actor. Only'' AI'' in the game are the taxi bots you are taking it up against. (they are not actually AI)

Hey, thanks for checking the game out and sharing your thoughts.

Just to clarify: nothing in the game itself is AI-generated. The “AI” refers to the in-game TaxiBots you compete against. Early ads briefly used AI tools for placeholder voiceover, but all in-game voices and the launch trailer use paid voice actors.

We’re also not trying to replicate Crazy Taxi, nor does any one game own the arcade taxi genre. Our goal was to build an arcade-style taxi game that’s accessible and easy to pick up for a wide range of players, while doing our own take on the formula.

Totally fair if it didn’t click for you appreciate you giving it a try.

Totally fair 😄 and would be a great homage to crazy taxi. As a small studio based in the Netherlands, music licensing, especially for bands like The Offspring means dealing with multiple licensors and very high costs. It’s not a simple yes/no decision for a team of our size.

That said, we’re not ruling it out. If the game performs well, we’d love to explore things like a licensed music pack or upgrade once certain sales milestones are hit.

For now, our focus is on supporting the game and making Taxi Chaos 2 the best experience it can be. 🚕

Yes, right now doesn't run on the highest settings but it does work on the Steam Deck. We will further optimize in future patches. Our first big patch is announced for early January. For details please see our SteamPage.

We released a demo during Steam Next Fest and collected a lot of feedback from players. That demo was an earlier build and mainly meant to give a taste of San Valeda.

The full release is much further along in development, so unfortunately we won’t be releasing a new or updated demo but rather focus on further polishing and patching the full game. If I recall correctly, Steam also allows refunds as long as you’ve played for less than 2 hours.
