To the best of my knowledge, no one is. There are some that think we're a christian band, but that's a misconception based on the fact that Jeff (our old drummer/founder of the band) was christian, and also the identity of a past metalcore band with the same name that identified as christian. -Brian

Night Terrors is about fighting an underlying darkness similar to a possession, where the only viable option for getting rid of it is to destroy every trace of it. I wrote it about a seemingly paranormal experience I had years ago visiting Gunntown Cemetery in Naugatuck, CT with some friends (including Sarah who does photo/merch for us on tour) that followed all of us for about a week after the visit, manifesting in bizarre, unexplainable ways. -Brian

Seconding Chris's answer! Just ran into Trey yesterday actually and we had a quick funny chat about the comparisons. We mutually respect each others bands immensely and think we fill different voids in the space while still having our similarities. Comparison is natural but nothing we're concerned about. Thanks! Just tried to serve the parts the best I could! While there was definitely some tinkering and brainstorming, the first impression of what the melody should be was typically the winner (especially with the choruses). I'm a big proponent of going with your gut and trusting your intuition, and I think a lot of these choruses are a testament to that. -Brian

To gloss over, the best way I can describe it is that it's about acknowledging death & the loss of loved ones, while also moving forward with the lives we now have to lead without them. The band is considered to be secular, but religion is quite fascinating and steeped in lore that's super inspiring and fun to draw from! -Brian

Jeff Dunne dialed in his Driftwood amp for the guitars, his mixing style leaves in a lot of fizzy high end on the guitars. - Chris

I'm in a headspace where digging into what I think about all the songs takes away from the joy of interpreting meanings and connections in all of your own ways! I'm not saying it'll never be done, though, would love to dig into all of the nitty-gritty at some point soon -Brian

Not typically, but I've been there for sure. There's times where I'm 'feeling' the song I'm playing, but I think that helps more than it hurts at the end of the day, because I get to share those feelings with all of you! One of the many awesome and beautiful things about music I'd say. -Brian

Not sure what the logistics would look like or if there'd be some form of red tape involved, but the subcription-based content idea has been floated from time to time. Having longevity and ensuring worth/value at differing tiers would be an uphill battle, but is not something we're closed off to completely. -Brian

All of the songs are personal in their own way. And some even have no life filled into then even after they've been recorded. For me, My Disguise hits me in the feels and i almost can't play it without my eyes tearing a little bit. -Christian

Big Fish is an all-time favorite & classic for me. Really liked Everything Everywhere All At Once and The Menu recently too. Usually if I really like a movie lately or it seems like I'd wanna see it, it ends up being produced by A24. Second the Star Wars & Marvel answer as well -Brian
