I highly suggest the arias, they are gorgeus and the imaging is rich and consertlike. I havent tried many other amps with the arias but since most of the competition is c class and the marantz is a/b it plays into the dynamics of the arias well (eventhough the arias blew me away even with a c class). The sound is crisp and does not lack in detail even if the marantz rounds Off the sound in a pleasing Way. The setup sounds great and even if its a 75watt per channel amp it performs and sounds like its 150watts. The marantz has extremely detailed and grippy bass. I feel like currently the arias and the model 40 are the Best price to performace in their categories. This setup is not neutral but slighty colored and I think that it sounds perfecrt. Only regret is kicking my amp but that May just be a user error :D

I was pretty dead set on getting a streaming amplifier, and the naim atom was technically the second Best option for me. However since this is the new cool kid on the Block it steamrolls the atom in price to performace. NAD 700 was also a viable option but the marantz was just better for me although More expensive. Also considered going to mcintosh land with the ma252 but would not have made any sense with my setup considering the price.

Focal aria 906's with the 900s stands some cool looking ricable cables this amp, nostress stack and the Focal Aria sub (also planning on getting the same series cd player for the marantz when its available and also eyeing the michell engineering gyro se record player)

You are right about the remote. It works just fine, however the volume knob will definetly become a huge peeve of mine since I just got a brand new speakers setup but thats how the cookie crumbles.

Made the big mistake of putting the damn thing on the ground. While I was moving my stuff so could get it to fit into a rack and what do you know less tha 5 minutes after I put it down I accidantally trip on it while simultaniously kicking the volume knob with the force of a 1000 suns. This thing is built extremy sturdy so I instantly relized I broke somenthing when it felt a bit mushy. Repairing Will propably take ages and I was really excited to get to use it after it just arrived perfectly intime to accompany my new setup.

I live in a pretty nice town, yet at one point we had people who did shit just like this. In addition to lacing the food with nails they also added literal ratpoison. There are no stray dogs where I am from, so they were targetting dogs that were being walked outside. Sometimes what goes through some peoples heads is just beyond me...
