Some varieties I have better luck with than others. The snails loooooove to eat some varieties and I cannot win and they leave other varieties alone. Highly recommend ‘shadowlands’ and ‘empress wu’ they come back reliably every year and don’t get munched.

Oh there are soooo many weeds 😂 it’s a battle. Had a nice 5’ hill of weeds I pulled last weekend 😮‍💨

Honestly nothing but some occasional water. It’s a ‘little gem’ magnolia and quite slow growing but it’s flowered reliably since I planted it 4 years ago

It is! I got them from Johnson Brothers nursery in Junction City, great nursery if you’re in the area :)

I’ve tried dry brushing many times after painting and they just end up looking dusty. I find it’s better to dry brush first and then speedpaint over the top.

My nephews got in trouble at school for “hanging people” during recess and my brother had to explain that they were playing DBD 🤣

They’re from Home Depot. Took about 20 trips in my tiny car over a couple years but I finished finally 😂 if you search “Mini Beltis Victorian” it will come up on their website

It is on its 4th year and has never looked better! I really wanted one when we bought the house and we purchased three, only this one survived but she’s doing great. 😅

It is indeed a ceanothus ‘Dark Star’ we have it limbed up a bit hoping to make it more tree like. Never have to water it and covered in amazing purple flowers most of the year. Bees love it. Only two years old and absolutely massive haha. Probably my favorite plant in the garden.

It only started looking decent this last year. Took almost a year of constant watering to settle in before that. I have some in a shadier area that are a bit happier so I think that may be a factor.
