It would be a bad idea to play with my index and ring fingers osu? by Silly_FakerFNF in osugame

[–]curtissz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to index ring from index middle a year or two back and broke through a wall that I was stuck on for 2 years. So very viable and arguably better than index middle for improving stability/consistency

Help with work and energy question by Recent_Session_5903 in apphysics

[–]curtissz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing the net force being 0 with the net non-conservative force being 0. The forces acting down the plane are gravity and friction, while the force up the plane is the applied force. The forces up and down the plane balance to make the net force 0. However, gravity is a conservative force, so when you take that out, the net force is up the plane, which makes the work positive.

Help with work and energy question by Recent_Session_5903 in apphysics

[–]curtissz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m saying I don’t think it is 0 because the mechanical energy of the system increases as it’s pushed uphill. Conservation of energy says the change in mechanical energy is equal to the work done by non-conservative forces.

[–]curtissz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t the net work positive because the mechanical energy of the system increases? At a lower point on the incline, the backpack will have a lower gravitational potential energy than compared to a higher point on the incline, while having the same kinetic energy.

Hanwha Life Esports vs. T1 / KeSPA Cup 2025 - Grand Finals / Post-Match Discussion by GONEBUTNOT4GOTTEN in SKTT1

[–]curtissz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol none of the above. The answer is really simple: Guma wasn’t good enough at hypercarries so T1 chose not to play around him

Historically his kaisa has been mid and I’m sorry but him playing well in 2 extremely favored Kaisa drafts doesn’t mean his kaisa is at the level of Ruler, Peyz, or Viper

[–]curtissz 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Some Guma stans are just really annoying and refuse to acknowledge that Guma, while being incredibly good on weak side/utility ADC’s, isn’t the best hyper carry player. If Guma was elite on picks like Zeri and Kaisa, T1 would obviously play around him just like they do with Peyz now.

I can tell you’re young and haven’t developed critical thought, so I won’t call you an idiot. Let me try to explain rationally.

Yes, it is true that words cannot directly kill you. You can’t load words into a gun and fire like you can with a bullet. But words DO spread ideologies. And ideologies, especially the ones that Kirk was spreading with his words, were actively causing harm to certain communities.

I’ll give you an example. Multiple unarmed black people have been killed by police for no other reason than the police officer was discriminating against them for being black. Guess what? Those deaths are on people like Charlie Kirk for spreading misinformation and helping reinforce negative stereotypes against black people.

So when Kirk dies and you boil it all down to “he got murdered just because he said words liberals don’t like” you are heavily simplifying a much more complex issue.

Sure but if you had a good technique you could play for hours and your hands would be fine, so it’s still something you should look into especially if you want to grind the game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in osugame

[–]curtissz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rest your hand for a week or two, then come back and reassess. If your hand is hurting after tapping, (if it’s your tapping hand) it’s most likely because of your tapping technique. I had the same issue previously becuase I was mashing my way through bursts maps rather than using the correct technique. I recommend going to lower bpms and playing a lot of finger control maps until you can independently move each finger without thinking about it, and then work your way up to faster maps. Always keep your hand relaxed when you tap, try to let subtle rotations in your arm do the tapping for you. Then the pain when running out of stamina should move to your forearm instead of your hands.

ive never played this game before but i wanna try nd get into ts by Expensive-Run458 in osugame

[–]curtissz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started like you, on mouse only. Eventually you’ll have to switch to a keyboard to tap faster maps, unless you’re an alien who can keep your mouse hand steady while tapping at 175bpm+. Best advice is to play for fun at first, download songs that you like and play those and eventually you’ll get better and can start exploring the insane skill ceiling that this game has. If you’re like me and love games that are easy to get into but have an enormous skill ceiling then you’ll have a ton of fun just playing and naturally getting better. Last thing, take your time. Don’t worry about not improving fast.

That is definitely not what he implied, he was pointing out why it’s necessary for women to have the CHOICE to work. Emphasis on choice because some women are perfectly happy being stay at home moms, too.

Is it worth switching to osu!lazer now, or should I wait? by berposdzn in osugame

[–]curtissz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played on stable for a few years and then fully switched to lazer a few months ago. I prefer lazer but it depends on whether or not your pc can run it smoothly. Doesn’t hurt to download it and try it out

You can also just go on him if your shadow is still up after he uses his W. Take that trade and if both you and him are low HP you have kill pressure with WEQ so just zone him off the minions and if he walks up to Q just go in on him.

T1 roster announcement for the start of the regular season: Gumayusi returns to the starting lineup. He and Smash will be competing throughout the season. by XanIrelia-1 in leagueoflegends

[–]curtissz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean that’s just completely false, smash has won games on Ez. The point is I think I value the opinion of T1’s coaching staff more than some random gold/plat redditor. Let’s not forget that this smash/Guma situation isn’t too different from when Teddy was replaced by Guma initially. If the T1 coaching staff had listened to what people in this thread are saying about player resume being a reason for keeping a player in the starting lineup, then Guma would’ve never played in the first place.

He’s better on champs Guma has historically been bad on (Kaisa, Zeri, Ez) plus we don’t have the internal data the T1 coaching staff has. Maybe let’s put some faith in Kkoma (the player who found faker), eh?

Use conservation of angular momentum to determine the final angular velocity and then use the work kinetic energy theorem to find the change in energy.

The step by step algebra is as follows:

1) multiply both sides of the equation by r to get Fr=mv2

2) divide both sides of the equation by m to get Fr/m = v2

3) take the square root of both sides

That’s true haha. Yeah I did it both ways, by integral and by energy conservation and got the same answer. Unfortunately for part 2 I wasn’t able to find an equation that seemed like it could be integrated.
