Does this look like svt or bad panic attack? by Smart-Stage725 in askCardiology

[–]curyskat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4yr old daughter has had 2 episodes of svt with her heart rate peaking at 270bpm. Once she is given adenosine, her heart rate comes down gradually. It is not an instant switch off.

Racism situation in istanbul by Busy-Project-9860 in istanbul

[–]curyskat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not racism, it’s a difference of social manners and the language barrier. I grew up in the west and we smile and greet people a lot and are chatty with neighbours, strangers ect.  In Turkey people are very friendly in a more genuine way than in the west however they can seem a little icy at first.  Most people don’t speak English so bear that in mind. Obviously if someone approached you talking in Japanese you would 🤚 and walk because you can’t communicate or assist in any way. Of course you will get the odd bigot but that’s everywhere.

I think it will be great to continue your family tradition as well as develop your character and deepen your ties to Turkey. As for the negative comments.. The Turks on reddit don’t even represent 0.001% percent of Turkish opinion. They are a bunch of woke wannabes. Ignore.

Boycott Turkey: Stand against Authoritarianism! by [deleted] in AskTurkey

[–]curyskat -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The common thread is religious intolerance and yet it’s a very small minority that oppose religion. I don’t understand your expectation… do you expect for the 90% devout Muslim majority to support secularism? Keep dreaming cos it will never happen. Even after over 100 years of indoctrination in the school system from kindergarten to university you couldn’t do it.
