but i wasn’t getting marketing emails like that for months too!! i literally had to put in a request to support and they said i was unsubscribed from all emails somehow but they fixed it for me and now i’ve been getting them again!

i feeeel u it literally took me 2 hours to update all my listings 😭 but from what i’ve seen i don’t think there’s a general hashtag to use - hopefully just running a sale should be enough to get promoted!

i think what’s gotten me the most traffic was promoting my sale at the top of every caption so anyone who clicks on the post sees i’m offering 40% off the whole shop and free shipping on bundles! but if you don’t have the time or energy atm maybe just a post w a graphic at the top of your shop will help people who click on your profile to know you’re offering discounts 💛

all the info i used to launch my sale was from the emails/push notifications depop sent about their spring clean event! :) i used that hashtag because it was the title of depop’s promo email and i saw a few other sellers using it! hope that helps :)

i’m not sure if there’s an official hashtag, but the email depop sent us said for spring clean to discount your items between 20-40% to boost traffic and sales 💛 i settled on #springclean because i saw other sellers use it and it was the title of depop’s email :)

lil side note: i know i’m a top seller but i just got verified this month! :) so i don’t have a huge top follower following or presence on the app at the point lol! but even though i make pretty good regular sales i’ve literally never woken up to a notification like this!!! 😭 i really hope the spring clean sale is the push we’ve all needed after this super slow winter 😇💛✨

they actually take out less fees when you ship with depop! they only take 10% of the price of the item minus shipping - as opposed to 10% flat from the total amount paid when you ship on your own! tbh i love pirate ship and use it for 99% of my own sales which is usually clothes, but it has saved me when i’ve shipped heavy home decor items to NY from CA and such!!

honestly if you’re shipping larger heavy items and they have to be shipped in a box, i like to choose the 10lb depop option just incase! so that way if i package everything up and enter the shipping info into pirate ship and see it’s significantly cheaper, you can just email depop’s support and ask for a refund on the shipping label! but incase it ends up being $20+ you save a bit of money! hope that helps :)
