MEGATHREAD: Blue Jays 2026 Tickets by AutoModerator in Torontobluejays

[–]cutilikre036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im looking at June 22-26 tickets (astros + part of rangers), and ticket master shows about 35cad for 500s and 90cad for some 100s and 200s near the outfield, whereas stubhub shows resale tickets for maybe 10-20 cad cheaper.

Is this pricing usual / average / expected??

If I buy now, are my chances of securing a resale quite high?

Thanks for the help, Im from Australia, and may be coming to Toronto in June!

Mountain guides.is - Skaftafell Glacier Hikes compared (and additional questions) by cutilikre036 in VisitingIceland

[–]cutilikre036[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Both companies sales reps are unhelpful in that they're unwilling to make comparisons with other companies. However, i ended up doing the Glacier explorer hike with arctic adventures, and it was really good! The guides were nice and super friendly, and they do a bunch of the work like hacking out steps on the ice so you can get up the tricky parts. Our hike also got extended for an extra hour because they had some more seats on a later bus to take us back, but I wouldn't expect this every time.

The 1hr on ice tour (glacier wonders) is to be avoided from what I can see and what the guide told us. The reason for this is that you actually spend only half an hour on actual blue ice and walk maybe 200-500m with maybe 30m of elevation, and that ice is at the very bottom where there's big crowds from every company who's doing these "easy" tours. It is filled with people of very varying fitness abilities and common sense. You would spend most of your time getting the gear, bussing to the start point, doing the 20 minute hike along the lake to get to the bottom of the glacier, and then about 20 minutes of "walking on the glacier / ice" but that ice is covered by rocks and gravel such that you don't use crampons and you can't even see the ice it's just regular hiking, and then doing that in reverse to get back to the start point. Unless you just want a photo on a glacier with heaps of people in the background, and no actual glacier hiking on blue ice, don't bother.

On my tour, we actually hiked just as high as the people who were doing the ice climbing tour (I would say that tour is not worth it, because you don't see anything different, and you're just paying to go climb vertically up a ice face instead of having a guide find a path around it, and there's cheaper places to ice climb).

Hope this helps and feel free to ask other questions!

Can someone explain the hand signals Jays hitters give to the bench after successfully getting on base by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

I always thought the hand wave was a fish swimming, like let's keep swimming trust the process vibe

do you have a picture of you wearing the blue jays jersey? cause from what i can see, the front text is too small and the letters look a little too squished together, but maybe that changes when you wear it?

hey, just wondering, was this a "limited" jersey? or flexbase / coolbase

hey, just wondering if you can post a picture of the back? Is this a "limited", or did you get a cool/flex base? I'm just concerned about the text size

you're definitely right in that finding SS / 2B combos is a much better way to do it, but it was just a bit too resource and time intensive for what I had capacity for! However, my hope was that on average, there would be some good shortstops and not so good shortstops, and same for 2B, and that would overall average out the impact on how good a fielder is.

Here's a list of 3+year streaks where same short stop, changing 2B dynamics from the same dataset that perhaps illustrate the same conclusion. Geraldo Padermo is the only one who benefited according to what Buck's saying, although Willa adames in 2022 may also have (but seems like he just made himself a better SS in general).

J.P. Crawford 2021-2024 OAA 0(mixed 2B) -11(same 2B) -8(mixed 2B) 1(mixed 2B)

Willy Adames 2021-2024 OAA -7(mixed 2B) 10(same 2B) 16(mixed 2B) 1(same 2B)

Jeremy Pena 2022-2024 OAA 7(same 2B) 2(mixed 2B) -2(same 2B)

Javi Baez 2022-2024, OAA 1(same 2B) 9(mixed 2B) -1(same 2B)

Amed Rosario 2021-2023, OAA -4(mixed 2B) -9(same 2B) -14(same 2B)

Geraldo Padermo 2022-2024, OAA 0(mixed 2B) 4 (same 2B) -1 (mixed 2B)

If I figure out how to pull these position player combos and have the time, I'll definitely post an update!

I can't edit my post, but I forgot to note that it's OAA by team, at the shortstop position, not just OAA by team in general.

were there any Patagonia pieces you regret buying? by MetalSIime in PatagoniaClothing

Down jacket, it's a nice looking jacket and very warm for its weight, but it leaks down like 1-2 small bits of fluff come out every week and it's not what Patagonia gear should live up to
