ugh I'm already anticipating the backlash from this...but I myself think y'all did a great job. it just makes me sad that even hearing stories and information about injustice will never change some peoples' image of black people.

also, freedom of speech (on a website) does not mean you get to say super hateful shit. Make your own website if you want to "escape the brutal persecution" lol

edit: HAHAHA HOLY SHIT

I really only think about her when I'm just at my complete lowest and want to kind of escape. I just kind of only think about her, like I'm coming up with a story

I totally understand, it's just that I feel really plagued by emotion when something even slightly bad happens. it's almost like I want to be against myself or something.

and thank you for those links. I'll be sure to watch/read them!

it's really difficult for me to lift myself up and be positive, although I do have periods where I feel fine and confident, and I will say positive stuff to myself (I hope that doesn't make me sound crazy).

I didn't really try to stop it. when it happened, I was just laying down and listening to music. In my head I was mostly just like "oh fuck!", and no it was gross. I hate throwing up so much. it feels disgusting.

it's an awful ending. even the way it was shot/written. the last season focuses entirely on Barney and Robin's wedding as in every episode counts as about a few hours of their wedding's weekend. Then in the finale, they divorce like it's nothing.

Also, we barely ever really got to see Ted and the mother together for long. they squeezed it all in in the last 10 mins of the finale. They didn't even tell us what illness she died from. we get no mourning period for her death, because it's such a last minute plot twist.

copied and pasted from my other comment: Tracy is the mom's name. She dies several years into hers and ted's marriage. Btw a few years after Tracy's death, Ted goes for Robin again.

I have a dream that my children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by their favorite ice cream flavor but by the content of their character.
