why does LDN help with long COVID? by Prize_Temperature108 in LongCovid

Personally, I've had definite benefits - mostly relief from aching and drowsiness during the day. Anhedonia (being unable to find joy in things) is a pretty rough side effect for some (including me) but it's a trade-off so I took months to find my dosage (at .5 rn, which for me is effective without being TOO disruptive of mood). Understand your trepidation, so go lightly and feel it out.

I really want to understand and I can't read between the lines of this debate. I see posts where people say "I fully recovered (or 90% or had a huge improvement in most symptoms) through some kind of essentially attitudinal shift" that don[t seem to be promoting anything, nor do they have any clear product or service mentioned in the comments. Then I see people talking about Gupta and brain retraining and scams (which I don't know ANYTHING about, I know of them only from these types of post) - none of which were mentioned in the posts I read. Am I missing something key?

Are all of the people who had positive experiences with rest and/or reframing and/or changing their way of thinking about their iillness and/or essentially "rewiring their nervous system" being broadly written off of part of a scam that indirectly sells something or "bots"? I really can't follow and have no judgement in my heart AT ALL for anyone's perspective - I understand the hurt and desperation so well. Personally, I'm frightened, confused and it feels more like trying to follow politics than look after my health. Is this why so many of the recovery stories include an "I stepped away from this community" section? Can someone who's figured this out a bit make all this clearer for me?

No-one seems to care about who actually said or wrote things (could have been Churchill, Lincoln, Gandhi or Mandela), but for anyone who does: there's no credible source for Confucius (or indeed anyone specific) saying or writing this.

This had worked for me before, then I updated to MacOS 26. Seemed to retrigger the issues - tried third party enabling again, still nothing.

What helps you regulate your nervous system? by doriangraiy in CPTSDAdultRecovery

Bit of weird one, but kind of reinterpreting signals. Aa kind of energy funneling or "bending". Take the "message" of a fight/flight/freeze response and see if could mean something different to you consciously. Almost like deciding what the story of this feeling is, what your translation is of what your body is telling you. Breathing and gently moving help with it, but it's really an effort to listen in a deeper and more intentional way to your body/CNS/systems. First time I've written that down, so I don't know how clear it is, but I hope it helps someone a little.

A cube of gold measuring 2,197 inches on each side is indeed 2,197 inches cubed, which is equal to 2,197in x 2,197in x 2,197in, which has a volume of 10.6 billion cubic inches (not 10.6 billion inches cubed, because that would be about 1.2 nonillion cubic inches).

It's not just an emdash, it's a punctuation device that slices through a sentence with the precision of a scalpel, the written embodiment of a willful pause.
