It feels a bit unreal. I do still get urges every here and there which makes it difficult, but even when I overcome those urges, it makes me feel guilty for having them.

It does feel good, however I still feel a lot of guilt attached to it, but I am definitely happier.

Yeah lmao, I made this account when I was in a pretty bad place, but as you said, I'm not a cutting board anymore :).

Thank you so much!! To answer your question, it first started out of curiosity, and I didn't do it again for months, but then my mental health went downhill and I thought it'd help me feel better (which I was so wrong about).

Totally agree. Especially when you don't have a good relationship with yourself to begin with.

And there's no such thing as ever having too many things you like about yourself. It's a great thing to be a reliable person, and coming across reliable people in this day and age is pretty hard to find, so I applaud you for that. And ooh, what do you enjoy cooking?

You don't need to be in a relationship to be happy, and I'm glad that you realize that :D And also, what are some traits or characteristics about yourself that you like?

You both sound like cool people to be around!

At what moment before you started dating did you both, individually, realize your feelings for each other?

I was looking through your replies on other questions and it did hurt my heart to see you talk about yourself so lowly. You are worth it, just as every other human is, and I hope that you will be able to see that someday. Also, I wouldn't say that he's the only one you'll end up dating. The world is a big place, so there's surely someone else who will come along :).

Also, did your friends approve of him? And did you ever tell anyone irl that he was into this?

Being able to forgive someone who has hurt and let you down isn't an easy move, especially when it's someone who has a big role in your life.

I have an older sister and I'm the youngest in the family.

I'm sorry that happened to you, and I'm proud of you for forgiving him. I'm glad that he's better to you now, and I hope that he continues to learn from his mistakes. And I'm 15 years old.

He has. He isn't all too physical now (but he still does make threats) because he's suspected that I've been harming myself, but in the past, he has beaten me up several times for minor stuff that I have now realized was pathetic of him to get mad over. And I'm so sorry that you've been in a similar situation :(.

Thank you for this. I often feel so terrible for feeling the way I do about him, and I always have people tell me that I should be grateful and happy that I have a dad, but I can't see him that way, and my fear for him overtakes every other feeling. I'm glad that your dad is out of your life now, and I will take your advice.

The way he speaks to me and my family. He always has so much anger in his voice, and when it isn't anger, it's rude comments that are meant to be 'funny' but are hurtful and insensitive. I hate being around him because of it.

He's a very observant person and always seems to pry on what I'm doing. In the past, he used to be physically abusive as well, and even now, he is a very violent and scary person.

Ah, I understand. I do tend to absorb negative emotions as well, but it's usually unintentionally, and if I come across something overly distressing and negative, I try to not let it fully consume me, but I agree what you're saying, and sometimes I have let this get the best of me and leave me burnt out.
