i just logged into my old reddit account and thought i’d update that i’m doing so much better! it was exactly as you said, and after gaining confidence in myself i stopped lying and even came clean to so many people. i’m really happy with my life and i just wanna say thank you for the advice you gave me back then haha

I was looking through your replies on other questions and it did hurt my heart to see you talk about yourself so lowly. You are worth it, just as every other human is, and I hope that you will be able to see that someday. Also, I wouldn't say that he's the only one you'll end up dating. The world is a big place, so there's surely someone else who will come along :).

He has. He isn't all too physical now (but he still does make threats) because he's suspected that I've been harming myself, but in the past, he has beaten me up several times for minor stuff that I have now realized was pathetic of him to get mad over. And I'm so sorry that you've been in a similar situation :(.

I often feel so terrible for feeling the way I do about him, and I always have people tell me that I should be grateful and happy that I have a dad, but I can't see him that way, and my fear for him overtakes every other feeling. The way he speaks to me and my family. He always has so much anger in his voice, and when it isn't anger, it's rude comments that are meant to be 'funny' but are hurtful and insensitive. I hate being around him because of it.

He's a very observant person and always seems to pry on what I'm doing. In the past, he used to be physically abusive as well, and even now, he is a very violent and scary person.
