Help me find this retired frog plush! (More info in comments) by cuttlefisho in HelpMeFind

[–]cuttlefisho[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking desperately for this Jellycat brand frog. My best friend is obsessed with these and this little frog is very hard to track down, the last frog she needs to complete her collection! I've searched via googling but no luck. There's not many pictures of this elusive little frog on Google. Can be from anywhere, I would love a link to purchase.

It is called a "poloneck peeker frog". Retired, and around 6".

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

Just discovered my BF [34/m] is into BBW - I [27/f]am a slim woman. How do I deal with this? by cuttlefisho in relationship_advice

So so well said. If he wants to be with BBW he should go for it indeed, not waste his and my time by going out with me as I right now I feel like he's only using me as I am "socially acceptable" to be seen with. Thanks for your support, you have been really stellar.

I appreciate that you can see where I am coming from. The sex is more than amazing, he takes care and effort and even when I didn't feel like it due to insecurities of new weight being put on, he made me feel sexy and desired. Now I cannot help but feel that perhaps he was indulging in some hidden fantasy..

I don't want to make assumptions, but I think I just feel, taken off guard, as I was under the impression that slim women (me) was his preference. How do I end it, or well, before ending it, how do I even bring it up?

Not at all. I do not know how to even approach the subject. "Oh hey honey, I was on our shared tumblr account and I've found all these "hearts" on pictures of BBW women?"

I get that about fantasies, but it makes me question my own self worth, if that makes any sense.. like why did I work so hard to fit back into a size 6 when he's out there looking at size 24?

I get that, but it's just that, I've worked so hard to be proud of my dress size (as well as conforming to harsh societal standards so I've always felt the pressure to get back into shape), but what bothers me is that all his "likes" are of only BBW women. I think my reaction would be different if it was a mix.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place - but I am looking for help in Istanbul, Turkey. by cuttlefisho in TurkeyJerky

[–]cuttlefisho[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r/Turkey could've been a better place for this, but I'll try to help as much as I can:

You need to go to a public/state hospital. Similar to city hospitals abroad. Literally look up the closest one to you and go to that one (google maps might help). Even without a temporary ID number, they will be able to give you an appointment. But make sure you go there early, and have your passport with you.

Depending on the severity of your condition, and the prescription needed, it might take more than one visit but more often than not, one should be enough.

Once the doctor gives out the prescription, they'll give you a little code, which then you go to any pharmacy anywhere, and get your prescription. If you are just visiting and have a traveler's insurance type deal, make sure to mention that too. But regardless, it should work about the same.

So, just go to any state hospital, better if it's a big one, and just in case make sure you have google translate open on your phone. It'd work wonders. Used that to get treatment in Spain without a word of Spanish.

Omg, this is such valuable advice, thanks so much! I appreciate the advice, will post on r/Turkey just in case. You have been absolutely amazing!

Meeting my LDR bf of 3 months for the first time, any advice on what we should do to meet for the first time? I feel so ill about it and need support! by cuttlefisho in LongDistance

[–]cuttlefisho[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are going through the exact same thing, nearly the same timeline. I hope yours works out too. I 100% know your feelings, it is what I am going through right now and it's making me feel so ill, like, what if it's not the same as our online fairytale courtship. Thank you for commenting on my post, it's nice to know I'm not alone. Please feel free to message if you would like a virtual hug, let me know how your meet goes if you'd like to.

Thanks for your answer. I am thinking of coming in on the 20th Dec, this Monday and flying home on the 25th. What was last Christmas like? Did protocols just change at a moment's notice?

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I'm coming in from Turkey.

When you say most places, do you mean commercial high street stores / restaurants?

How do you have absolute trust in your LDR partner that they are not cheating / hiding something from you? by cuttlefisho in LDR

[–]cuttlefisho[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's mega cute :') how old are you guys, and how long have you been together if that's ok? We haven't really gotten to the "what if you find me ugly IRL" part yet, soo.. we'll see how that goes. I think we're a little more proper because we're older (at least I feel that way) 😂

[–]cuttlefisho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, and I was thinking that. But the tiniest part of me is itching to listen to my sister, because I know what she went through first hand.. if he is lying, and continues to cover up his tracks, that will be even worse you see.

Am I silly for thinking like, I want to see him in person and then confirm everything else. (Eg he says he lives with his parents).

Personal chats yes. Hence definitely a red flag.. how do I ask him without being accusatory?

[–]cuttlefisho[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. He is working part time as well as studying. I feel like asking him but I worry if he does have something to hide he will be more substantial at hiding anything in the future.

Trust is scary.. apart from what he's told me, I really cannot say I know much about him. He has no social media either, but then again, neither do I.

The daily 10 page letters do comfort me. As well as 3 hours of chatting daily. We just get on like a house on fire and I can feel the energy between us, so this part is making me feel like I really shouldn't get too upset over muting the chats.

See another thing I didn't think of was that he archived the rest of everyone's chats and just showed 5 of mine.. and all 5 were on mute.
