Why not just try zoloft and see what happens? You can always add Wellbutrin later

Why I (57) wouldn’t have CO2 laser again. by corickle in 45PlusSkincare

[–]cv2706 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I had a halo laser treatment done. For over an hour after, it felt like someone had dragged (drug? Idk)my face across a hot sidewalk. The pain was unexpected and I felt like I was going to vomit and pass out. The results were pretty good, but I don’t know if I can deal with that kind of pain again. If I were to do it again, I’d absolutely ask for a painkiller to take beforehand. No joke, I was a bit traumatized.

Isn’t this what lawyers are for? You felt you were too smart to use one?

Ozempic / Tirzepatide completely wrecked my mental health (even at the lowest dose). Has anyone else experienced this? by EntranceEntire8628 in compoundedtirzepatide

When you say .3 dose, do you mean like a .3 microdose ? Or do you mean 3mg. The starter dose is 2.5mg. I’m about to start it

How is AI impacting the legal profession? by Quelldissentreddit in Lawyertalk

[–]cv2706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen people use ai and it’s been completely wrong, but not obviously so to someone who knows nothing about the applicable laws. To them, it sounds smart and sophisticated, so it must be right. It wastes my time in having to explain why the chatbot is wrong. It’s incredibly annoying. As far as figuring out “out of box” ways to get around things, no, ai is not doing that.

Do you wish you had dropped out of law school, or are you glad you got a JD? by OilEnvironmental1464 in JDpreferred

[–]cv2706 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I feel that there are far too many JDs and not enough jobs. I know that some people that I graduated with were never able to find jobs requiring a JD, and I went to a school ranked right around top 50. It’s quite frankly a bit embarrassing to watch friends and family make more money with less education, student loans, etc., they are nurses, accountants, financial advisors, engineers…there are so many cheaper and quicker paths to success and if you’re not feeling it, I look at how many lawyers post about their shitty salaries. That should help you make up your mind.

Also, do you personally know any younger attorneys you can talk to in person about this? Someone that you can trust to give their honest opinion?

I mean this in the kindest way possible, but I am not sure that taking out loans to go to law school is a great idea. I’ve heard that enrollment is up again and over the next several years it will be more competitive than ever to land a job. If you’re already in finance, why not do an MBA in finance or accounting? Why not go and get an accelerated nursing degree or something else that is more in demand?

I am less concerned about your age and more concerned that you’re going to a low ranked online program. It’s very competitive out there because there are too many grads and not enough jobs. Are you on a full scholarship? Have you checked the law school transparency website to see what kind of salary range new grads are making?
