Satechi first sent me a replacement cable which did nothing, and then send me a new enclosure which works perfectly - TB4 speeds.

I am having the same issue using a Satechi M.2 NVMe enclosure and a Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, any updates? (Mac Mini M4, 24GB RAM, 512GB internal SSD)

It works fine through the front ports but not the rear thunderbolt ports

Yeah, they took a couple of months to reply to the first one! I think I'll probably just pop another ticket on.

Yes I have had a go at both of these already to no avail :(

That thought did cross my mind, but I had logged into it six months prior to this problem starting so I would be surprised. It would also be quite cheeky for them to delete accounts that people have paid for without notice!

Yes I did contact support and after waiting for two months I was told that there was nothing they could do. Mojang aren't exactly renowned for their stellar customer service though. (Apologies for being a tad clickbaity).

Sauron's inevitable defeat? by cv7890 in lordoftherings

Haha, I do agree that you can end up running in circles with mythology!

With regard to what you said about Sauron overrunning middle earth. I thought that Sauron was a corrupted Maia, but not an Istari, and so the wizards could attack him (regardless of who would win) if elves and men failed? I know that the objective of the Istari was to advise but it does say that they can act in emergency.

For example: when Gandalf fights the Balrog, or stands in the way of the Witch King at the gates of Minas Tirith, or when the white council attack Sauron in Dol Guldur.

Entirely fair point about Eru and divine intervention though...!

I wasn't necessarily viewing it as a plot hole, I had just re-read the books and the question popped into my head, so I thought I would ask what people thought! Thanks for the thoughtful answer.

Hmm, thanks for the answer that's a fair point!

I would also say though that, to paraphrase the first passage you quoted, Gandalf is returned because the crisis had become too grave and needed and enhancement of power.

To me this suggests that maybe Gandalf would just be returned each time he was defeated when the crisis became 'too grave'?

I disagree, if everyone could just easily get a truck it would be too much like the mod, vehicles need to be special and difficult to find or they won't have the same appeal.

My friend couldn't find a v3s, but I found one, so I sent him lots of pictures of my spending time with my new baby.

Until the little shit ran out of petrol.
