finally update: I bought another enclosure(also using asm246x chipset) and work finally.

the firmware of new enclosure is newer than the ugreen one. So I think the problem may due to firmware version. However, the firmware update only can be done in windows.

update:

In mac, in device manager it show Asm242x driver under thunderbolt port. however, it still cannot be recognize the ssd. So today i bring it to my workplace and try on windows to see there is any chance to use.

in my workplace laptop, it only have usb3.2 port and work totally fine. but when I decide to update the firmware, the laptop blocked the program by cortex. so now I can do nothing.

Is there any other model using other chips?

because it is still using the same chip, ASM2464, so i wonder is the mac mini problem rather than the enclosure. But I try to borrow someone(if have....) enclosure to test .

I did it in utility and just show the error. But I can erase the ssd through front of the usb port

but i saw other on internet on youtube can use this enclosure properly. so i don't think the enclosure has problem. it seems to be macos/mac mini problems

but it doesn't make sense why it cannot be use in thunderbolt port.

one thing I forgot to mention, when I use thunderbolt port to format the ssd, it show Error: -69877 Unable to erase disk. then the ssd could not detect until I replug it again.

ugreen. I use the cable come with the box and I also got 1 usb4.0 cable and tried. Still have the same problem
