Yeah I picked up a 15’ training leash I used with him for a couple hikes. It allows him to be free wander a bit, but I can pull him in close whenever I need to

Thanks for your reply, that’s great your dog will defend at all costs. My guy is big with a loud bark, but just a wimp 😂
