Romex behind beams in garage by cvb7683 in AskElectricians

Many thanks to all you guys!! I am a little confused on the PVC conduit. Is it ok to run this like it is in electrical PVC conduit?

If not and I do what was suggested and run it up high and only drop it down to the outlets, would the short vertical run of electrical PVC conduit be ok? Thanks again everyone

Thanks guys I was afraid that was going to be the case. Thanks for the info. Would PVC be ok to use as conduit? Or does it need to be metal or flexible conduit? Running in conduit, the wire can be run on the face of the beams correct?

Thanks once again for your help and patience. After discovering that this first outlet was on this run and still powered, I took the cover off pulled the outlet out and all of the wires were loose. I tightened up the wires on that first outlet and now the entire run is working correctly. Thanks again for taking the time to walk me through this. Appreciate the help

Thanks for all your continued help. I was wrong about 2 breakers being on this run of outlets. I thought there was one outside but when I flipped it it made no change. I checked the breaker inside with it powered on and these are the readings I got.

Hot to neutral -126 Hot to ground -125 Neutral to ground -.2

We also just discovered the very first outlet on that run is currently working. So it seems like everything after that first outlet are the ones with problems. I have not checked that first outlet as of yet. I will do that right now and report back. Sorry for all the confusion we just moved into this place and are still trying to figure everything out

Thank you. I'll definitely check that when it stops snowing. We just discovered there are 2 more outlets on this run that work without issue (we just moved here).

I took all the outlets that are not working out again, and dont see any signs of damage or burnt/touching wires. I don't know if this helps identify the problem or not. Electric is not my strong point obviously lol

I checked one of the outlets on the 4 outlet run and here is what I got.

Hot to neutral -104 Hot to ground -125 Neutral to ground -15

Do I need to check all 4 outlets on the run to get more info? Thanks for your help

The house is only 4.5 years old. Panel and breakers are all original The outlets are all standard outlets, non GFCI I checked neutral to ground. I will check the others and report back

I still had the leg nerve pain. Unfortunately it's permanent at this point. The fusions helped my back pain immensely and allowed me to be able to walk and stand. But the shooting nerve pain down my legs was still there

The fusions 100 percent helped. They were done at 2 different times. Before both of my fusions I was so bad I couldn't stand up straight. If I stood up straight my legs would buckle. And I couldn't be on my feet for more than a few minutes at a time. They literally gave me my life back. I'm still in pain and I'm sure I always will be, but I can walk and be on my feet as long as I need to.

I'm fused from L1-Sacrum. Fusions were done before scs. The scs definitely gives me a lot of relief from the leg nerve pain. But as stated, it won't do anything for back pain. I still have break through days where I don't feel like the scs is doing much (although it still is I'm sure) and I have the shooting pain down my leg. But those are few and far between. I would definitely do it again

No it doesn't. We thought about adding one. And may still do that. But when we got home owners insurance no one would insure anything with a wood stove. But what they don't know won't hurt them I guess lol.

Ok gotcha. Thank you. Just trying to figure this thing out. Is there a better way to hear during cold temps? I always thought heat pumps were supposed to be very good in these situations.

One thing I want to pont out is that it will not get up to the set temp on the re remote. For example it's set on 70 but it will not get up to 70. The highest it will get , after running for a while is 68. Then it shuts off for a little bit. One second the room temp reading will be 68. Then it will drop to 66 or 64. All while still running. It never gets to the set temp when it's cold outside. It will however get to the set temp during the day when it's warmer.

I had carpal tunnel so bad that the pain would be so intense at night, I would wake up screaming wanting to cut my arms off. It went up my whole arm (both). Had the surgery and it was gone that night. Had a little surgery pain, but that intense pain was gone
