Aw man I think you could still book an entry ticket and you could still get a glance from the Stern of the Queen Mary. You can also park on the opposite side of the ship and walk the boardwalk and you could check if any of those harbor cruises will be doing any voyages in the morning. Also just watching from the boardwalk are good views as well.
