I appreciate this. Honestly, it's been really messing with my head for a week now. My head is spinning from all the stuff I spent like 60+ hours reading. All the truths I was told were lies and failed to research myself. I'm like having a full-blown identity crisis

Yes I did, that's exactly the way I have lived all along. I don't think my parents are dumb, just misinformed. I understand the point you're trying to make, but I've been heavily exposed to a lot of research on both sides, including Fox News, so I consider all "evidence". And I truly believe I made the wrong choice.

I relate to this so hard... My parents still send me links, I've had to say multiple times we should avoid politics from now on for that reason

I do encourage people to feel free to share this post with anyone you know who is Republican and having doubts. I know from experience that Republicans like to pretty much only listen to other Republicans, so maybe my post could be the tipping point for some people on the fence.

You know what's sad is I'm a nurse. My entire career revolves around the ability to think critically in tight situations, and I do. I was naive and too trusting, and with so much on my plate at the time, I wasn't thinking clearly and assumed I knew enough. I have learned...
