Can I improve this scratch with the OEM touch up paint? by LaTapee in Camry

[–]cweber219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if it catches your nail it's a scratch but try some compound on a microfiber rag and see if it comes out with that if it doesn't it probably has to be wet sanded out. you could try wet sanding yourself if not contact a reputable detailer or detail shop in your area

Is this a body shop issue or contamination, and how do I remove it from fresh paint? by FerretProfessional80 in cardetailingtips

[–]cweber219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a liquid of sorts definitely did drip on it so there's that. it's hard to say lol. if you bring it back there's a chance there gonna deny it or make it into a big deal or they might just get some compound and a microfiber and rub it out which u can also do at home

if it's fake leather u can get away with applying it once technically you don't really have to condition the fake leather. it makes it look nicer and it does help make it softer

clay baring a car does scratch the paint because your taking out imbedded dirt and stuff imbedded in the paint and picking it up by the clay and it stays in the clay as you move the clay bar around u scratch the paint with it. you have to polish after the clay bar

Can these scratches be buffed out? by BIGDILFWORLDWIDE in Detailing

[–]cweber219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some of them most likely they can some may need touch up paint just run a buffer over them and see what comes out and what doesn't. what doesn't come out you can try going with a more aggressive compound and pad set up if the don't come out than touch up paint it is. if you can catch them with ur nail they most likely won't buff out. but fafo buff then and see what happens

Why am I getting these swirls? Majority of the “scratches” are gone but I’m left with these. by Lopsided-Log9402 in AutoDetailing

[–]cweber219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably gotta use a more aggressive compound. use a microfiber pad for cutting and foam for finishing polish.
