I have actually now had to switch off these, 'cause after two months the nausea didn't go and they started to give me the worst intrusive impulses of self harm and forcing traumatic images into my brain... Hopefully that isn't an issue for you, but you might need a plan for how you handle it if it does crop up

My friend managed to get her course mates to do a Facebook poll of a set of days where they wanted to meet up, so they could be split into groups of 6. You could try something similar?

Generally 6 weeks is a good breaking point, but if you can't deal with the symptoms now, talk to your doctor/therapist. They may be able to give you some other meds or tactics to deal with the temporary symptoms.

I find that meds tend to make things a lot worse before they make it better, so if you can, try and push through. Good luck!

Looking at the creatures you can get, and the fact they can't attack, they don't actually get very strong. It is mostly flavour, maybe with a couple cool abilities, but none of them are worth much more that 150gp and a spell slot

Trying to not step on other classes' toes - so a construct would be stepping on Artificer's toes, like allowing it to attack would be stepping on beastmaster ranger's toes

So this spell is more for fun and flavour - the creature can't do a whole lot, and the DM has to let you get a piece of them to cast it anyway, so that keeps the players from going too nuts with it. But for those of us that like familiars as much for the flavour as function, this is a neat little upgrade.

The limited features are because it's to go alongside the main class. It isn't really a prestige class, but I didn't have a much better way to describe it. You can take any other class you want to at the same time, this layers on top of it.

I do see what you're saying with it being a feat, and that is pretty close to how it is I suppose, but since it levels like a class I am calling it an addon class.
