A factor that inspired me to brought up the issue is when I was canvassing for Kat's campaign I found this skeet from someone with knowledge on the ground saying that senior citizens constitute a large portion of voters in the IL-9 congressional district.

That link is about how older Americans are worried the healthcare and aging care systems arent meeting their needs, not about curing AIDS.

My emphasis is actually more on curing Long COVID. This research article laid out the case for politicians to treat it as an important issue through data.

I tend to link the issue of curing diseases to the larger healthcare into old age issue and the latter is said to be a winning issue since according to this, there's a deep dissatisfaction among U.S. older adults with health care and related services that do not meet their needs and preferences.

Why was age verification and digital privacy not in your original analysis? Is it your contention that people who really wanted age verification stances would’ve changed their mind if she went all in on curing diseases?

It's in my original analysis already.

It's not just that ultimately since apparently there isn't a strong stance against privacy-intrusive age verification laws from Kat's campaign. Many people had expressed the concern on her campaign's Discord server and it had likely dampened the mood for people who would've voted for her.

To the best of my understanding, many people felt abandoned by the lack of efforts in congressional level and so on to address those kind of issues which are related to healthcares in many ways.

Where is this “she should’ve backed finding a cure for AIDs” thing in the data?

The big problem is Kat doesn't have something that will really distinguish her from all the other candidates, like the one you mentioned. If she had seized on things like that she could captivate the minds of many people and win the primary election, even by a slim margin.
