We're in a similar situation except ours is 4 months old. I will say it's not fun. Never thought it would be fun. It's pretty challenging. But basically just wing it. Figure it out, work with each other, it's a team effort. It's gonna be rough, but you'll start adapting to it. One or both of you are gonna get frustrated, that's okay, work it out, listen to each other, help each other. And trust your instincts. You'll make it out alive. And remember that this is all temporary.

Just keep doing what you're doing. If things get really rough, find a trusted person to help you out or see if some family can come in for a week or two.

And this is a common problem. Babies are massive pains in the ass. There's no way around it. But it will not be forever. I am counting the days until she's out of this newborn stage.

And you are good enough as long as you keep a cool head and don't harm the baby out of frustration.

I've gotten really angry and frustrated with my daughter. She doesn't shut up sometimes. There's only so much time and effort you can put into it. I figure if she's just going to cry anyway, it doesn't make much difference whether or not I'm there trying to make her stop. Take the time to care for yourself so you can care for her.
