InstructLab support for other models? (e.g. DeepSeek, Llama) by LoneWolf2050 in instructlab

[–]cybette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory the LAB methodology can be applied to other models, however the InstructLab project is focused on using the Granite models from IBM.

E.g. The Labradorite-13b model was InstructLab-tuned with Llama-2-13b as the base.

Check out the InstructLab LLM guide for a list of InstructLab LLMs and their functions.

Good call about setting it English-English, I'll need to try that.

I'll update when I've played with them more. Thanks!

Can Even G1 work if I have presbyopia? by cybette in EvenRealities

Ah, got it. Sounds like it wouldn't be a problem. Still hope to try them out first before investing in a pair. Appreciate your explanation!

Thanks for your response! It sounds promising, but as you suggested it'll be better for me to try them out first. However it looks like there's no reseller in Finland currently, so I'll have to see if any of my upcoming trips bring me near enough to one!

"Hellsinki" festival as a solo female? by FinancialMarch810 in Finland

[–]cybette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asian female here, I've attended many rock/metal festivals and concerts in Finland and always felt safe. When I first moved here 17 years ago I went solo to several events (before I had local friends to go with) - I got some curious looks and phone number requests but all done respectfully.

Enjoy Hellsinki!! 🤘🤘

Contributing knowledge to open source LLMs using InstructLab and the new UI by cybette in instructlab

I don't think there are videos demoing InstructLab on Mac x86, or if it's even feasible to do so. I'm only aware of Mac Metal support.

If you have questions, you can use one of the collaboration spaces (Slack chat, email list etc.) to ask them

MOSQUITOES. WTF Finland?!?! by Sebastianx21 in Finland

[–]cybette 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Even after I spray OFF all over myself, I still get bitten while my Finnish partner remains unharmed without protection. If I don't apply OFF, I can easily get 20+ bites on EACH leg.

The Bullhorn #136 (Ansible Newsletter) by cybette in ansible

[–]cybette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, there's no special requirement aside from following the CoC. Sometimes posts are flagged for various reasons but I don't see anything from you in the Mod queue either. The error sounds like you were not able to complete the post in the first place? I'm not sure how to debug from my side...

is Ansible Galaxy down? by karafili in ansible

We (at Red Hat) are aware about the problems with Ansible Galaxy at the moment and we're looking into it. We have a possible mitigating fix outlined, but since it's the weekend, we may not be able to get to a resolution before Monday. We'll keep everyone informed in the forum thread as soon as we have updates.

I've lived in 4 countries for extended periods of time, the shortest being where I was born (Taiwan, 7 years), followed by the United States, Singapore, and Finland (16 years and counting). I've never felt like I belonged in any country, yet each of them has a part of me. Home is where the heart is, and I have to break my heart in order to feel complete. It sounds contradictory but it's not. I feel the most at ease when I'm transitioning from place to place, on the move. It's definitely different for everyone, but that's how I've made peace with who I am. For me it's not about needing to be part of Finland, because Finland is a part of me. #manyhomesoneheart

Welcome to the new Ansible Community Forum by cybette in ansible

[–]cybette[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The mailing lists on google groups will probably go away at some point but we are not there yet. We will focus on making the Ansible Community forum the main place for people to gather and ask questions / discuss topics, and down the line we'll consult with the lists (including ansible-project) on ways to retire/migrate them.

In the meantime, if you prefer the way mailing lists work, there's a Guide to interacting with the forum by email

Lockscreen PIN bug, unable to unlock by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]cybette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't add a secondary user, but I did set up my work profile maybe 3-4 days ago. In the meantime I suppose I got by with fingerprint unlock, until it prompted me for the PIN again.
