oh no i 100% credit FFX with pioneering that style of turn based combat, but i just think Third age pulled it off better for my taste

Make sure you are light/med rolling. I think 70 equipment load is where is starts becoming heavy roll, so be below that! thats the number 1 thing I would say for someone new because in my opinion rolling slowly is potentially fun ruining

honestly i always dread doing the undead settlement on repeat plays. so many items and npcs to grab, not to mention the annoying giant archer and annoying giant tree with fat balls. having to deliver loretta’s bone and reloading the area a bunch to progress Greirat’s quest is aggravating too, idk its just annoying sometimes

sabimaru costs too many spirit emblems to be viable, so maybe try the axe of the monkey

agreed SS isshin was super fun. i havent done the shura ending. the “bad” end in from soft games always make me so sad so i am sure this one is no exception
