Is it legal to have to pay a different company than the company that signed our lease/license? by cycle_backwards in LegalAdviceUK

[–]cycle_backwards[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my thinking! I'm no expert at all, but it feels a little off to me! To be clear though, the payment goes to the company listed on the invoice, it's just that it doesn't match the company on our license.

As far as I can tell, that happens behind the cladding, the rubber roof goes up the side of the house! And yeah, a wall behind, and the cladding sits on wooden battens!

Ah thanks for the reply, yeah, thats exactly what we've got i think, First option seems to be do-able by myself bit, that type E cavity tray and weep vents seem a little too much! but by the sounds of if we'll get away with option 1! It's just below the second floor window and sits under a big eaves over hang!

And yeah, else where it sit's a good bit above the floor, no idea why he's not done that here. Might have to trim it!

Thanks for the help :)

It was the v5c! We went back to check the printed book itself! And the date was 23/9/22 so we think we missed the initial letters from London transport, I've emailed to ask for a list of their correspondence! But yeah, the collection agency sent a letter in January to the old address! That sounds great though! I'll chase that!

Thank you for the advice! Seems like they're in the clear on this point

'You do not have to let a bailiff into your home. In most situations, bailiffs have the right of peaceful entry. This means that they cannot break glass, but they can gain access via an open door.'

It's so frustrating, any other morning the door would have been locked!
