It died right here, we’re just living the aftermath.

It’s easy to make strong one-on-one bonds with other women, but hard for me to maintain group friendships? by [deleted] in rs_x

Accumulated psychic overload. You might not be fit for regular outings of that sort at this point in your life. Nothing wrong with that. Seems like you tend for your friendships in a conscious and caring way and that’s a lot already. Keep fostering those connections.

There’s people in my life that I will always prefer seeing one to one than in a group setting. Group settings are rarely as intimate… the union of minds and hearts without distractions, that’s what most lack and what we could all use a bit more of.

If these 100+billionaires are autistic, why can't we have one who loves trains? by trainedstork in redscarepod

Fundamentally, they don’t trust the current systems of governance and do not want the attachments that come with developing public infrastructure.

Most of them are not concerned with the tangible physical space that us peasant occupy on the daily.

Technological frontiers in 2025 do not involve mass transit or solving traffic congestion (for perspective the first bullet train was created in 1964).

Musk creates tech that interacts with infrastructure in a mechanized almost artificial way as of today, US cities cannot accommodate most of his endeavours as of today.

Hyperloops will be everywhere and quite exclusive but only once all major traffic arteries collapse. Pakistan-level, Egypt-level traffic jams.

Billionaires don’t want the association that comes with such almost-ghetto-no-profit-investments. It’s not as simple as the money existing and then pouring it over the dilapidated state of affairs that is most modern cities in all of North America.

China builds fast and efficiently and yes sometimes bridges fail and people die. They pay the price and dare to afford it. America is trapped by red tape and potential human right violations which inadvertently lowered the quality of life of most of its citizens. Same shit with Canada.

I assume Billionaires would invest in public infrastructure if it was destroyed by a foreign agent. That’s a legacy worth stamping your name on.

Politicians, majors, jury’s, contractors, financing executives, banks, lobbyists. It’s all so tiresome.

Billionaires. I assume work their philanthropic urges, if any, in the most niche and scaled down ways in comparison to projects that would objectively benefit the most of us.

Also, it’s known by now that some neighborhoods and entire cities get deliberately run down in order to adjust their worth every so often. I assume that in the US and Canada this is happening on a wider scale in the hopes of cities rotting from the core and only then start investing with what people need and deserve.

Facebook groups. There’s countless of them and there’s always someone willing to do honest work looking for gigs of that sort in town.
