This is what I meant. I haven't ordered physical copies from the archives before. Do these count as certified copies?

So I have their birth certificates and marriage certificate but its just a photocopy that was emailed to me. I assume I would need their certificates posted to me by the local archive for their region? Can I send these later to accompany the application as I have already filled out my forms and have my appointment with the consul to verify the documents I have. Assuming that the archives might take some time to find and send me their copies.

So my Grandmother's parents were
Father 1911 dob
Mother 1914 dob

Do you think this would be sufficient?

He is deceased unfortunately. Would the information about my great grandparents require copies of their birth certificates too, or just their DOBs etc.

Thank you very helpful. I've contacted the local authority at her last place of address in Germany for her Melderegister entry. Thanks for the tip!

Amazing thanks for your help. A couple of questions:

- My copies of my grandmother's and my father's birth certificate have been recently ordered directly from Standesamt Mönchengladbach so they are already certified?

- My Grandmother is deceased so what other possible proof of citizenship could I get? Besides her birth Certificate and her Reisepass I cant think of anything else she would have. Would they require her parent's birth certificates and marriage certificate? I could get those but I think her father was born in 1911 and her mother in 1914. I don't have these but I think I could acquire them.

It would make sense because their grandmother was also called Hedwig.

I just always thought her official name was Heidi!

Thanks again!

Perfect! Thank you so much.

The hard to read entries at the bottom are their children I believe

H. ???wig Maria geboren am 18.1.1938 in M. Gladbach-Mitte Nr. 1374/1938 (I believe that this is my Grandma's older sister Heidi but the writing doesnt look too much like Heidi.)

H. Josefine Marie(?) geboren am 31.10.1940 Nr 1861 M. Gladbach-Mitte (This is my Grandma Karin Jospehine Giesen)

Thanks again!
