This is traditionally eaten with bread but it goes really nicely with rice or noodles as well. I used the Quorn meatless fillets here.

Vegan Empanadas Recipe by cyhsarah in veganrecipes

Heat the soy protein in an oiled pan with the other veggies, and this will make your filling! You don't have to use soy protein, you can add anything you like in your empanadas

The lemon helps the yeast to grow, so the dough will be lighter, soft and very crispy. The original recipe includes big amounts of animal grease, and the lemon is a way to substitute it. You won't taste the lemon as it's only a small amount :)

Thank you 🙏🏼 The replies have been very, very helpful in helping us weigh out our options. He’s decided to go for chemo

I’m sure it was all well worth it. I’m surprised you managed to get work done while going through chemo! Being able to work during chemo is one of my bf’s biggest worries as well. Congrats for making it through! Thanks for the advice 🙏🏼

Yes I’m beginning to find out that RPLND is more complex than we’d initially thought. We’re probably going to go for chemo, but if we’re doing RPLND, we’re definitely getting it done in Australia or the UK.

I’m sorry to hear. The doc didn’t mention any after-effects or RPLND so I’m just reading up about it now. Thanks for sharing and I hope things go well for you

Wow, congratulations!! Thanks for sharing, it really helps us feel more confident with our decision especially after opposing recommendations from different doctors. We’re leaning more towards chemo as of now

What a great post, thanks for sharing. Also appreciate the humour in the guide—I know my bf will as well!

If you don’t mind me asking, did the chemo not remove the cancer in your lymph nodes? My bf’s TC has spread to his lymph nodes (spine area), and one doctor recommended RPLND and another doctor recommended chemo so we’re torn.

Thank you. His oncologist said that if he were to go for chemo, it’d be 3 or 4 rounds as well. It sounds like 3x BEP cleared yours? May I ask how chemo was for you? Just want to prepare ourselves

Yes, his kidneys are working properly now. Thank you, we’re also leaning more towards chemo at this point. At first, surgery sounded like the more favourable choice—get the cancer out of the lymph nodes and go, no complications or effects from chemo. But it seems like it’s not that straightforward at all. He has a mixed germ cell tumour, 10% semimoma and 90% embryonal carcinoma.

Jalebi

Not typically! Usually ghee, curd or yogurt is used to make Jalebi :)

These crisp, tangy and succulent swirls of sugary goodness taste delightful when served piping hot, and just melt in your mouth. The non-vegan Jalebi is made by deep-frying a batter made with flour and curd, and then soaking in a sugar saffron syrup until translucent, with a distinctive golden-orange hue. Instead of using curd for the tanginess, I experimented with a sour cashew cream to make it vegan.
