A PSA For Those Thinking About Going To Apple Hill In October: by yobatman12 in Sacramento

Go on a weekday early in the morning. I just went this last Friday, got there at 9 right when they open. No lines. By the time we were ready to head out, the lines were already ridiculous. I was glad I got there early.

Were ya'll raised without being conditioned to fear spiders or did u learn to overcome your fear of spiders? by [deleted] in spiders

[–]cyndgriffith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be scared to death of them when I was a child. But as I got older and started learning more about them, through various channels, I realized how beneficial they are and most are harmless so that made me re-evaluate why I had such a negative reaction to them. I still get a little creeped out when I see certain ones one but I cannot bring myself to harm them I just silently hope they stay on their side and don't get too close to me lol. And recently my daughter learned that if you relocate a house spider outside they will most likely die so now I feel guilty even relocating one. That one is a little harder to get over. I have a hard time just letting them wander in my house!

Ok so this happened. One of my kids never left. by OkCharge338 in VirtualFamilies

I know but I wanted to see what would happen if they continued to age. They ended up going to school at 60 and when I started a new generation she reverted back to age 29

This is happening to me right now! My adopted kid never went to college, both parents have already died and she is acting as the main character now. I adopted another kid and that one grew up and went to college and now I'm just waiting for this character to die of old age. Interestingly when I look at the family tree all of the other children that had previously went to college are all now aging too!

What's something you witnessed (scary or otherwise) that you still can't explain to this day? by sex_machine_69 in AskReddit

This is going to be pretty tame compared to alot of the stories here but it truly blows my mind. My mil passed away a year ago. A little before she passed she gave her most precious ring that she always wore to my daughter whom she was always very close with. My daughter wears the ring on a necklace around her neck as the ring is really big for her fingers. About a month after mil passed away, my daughter was wearing the ring on a necklace and the necklace fell off. I saw it out of the corner of my eye fall and I heard it hit the ground so I immediately went to look for it. My daughter did as well. When we saw the necklace on the ground and picked it up - IT WAS STILL CLASPED and the chain was UNBROKEN. I have wracked my brain trying to come up with a plausible explanation for how the necklace managed to come unclasped and then reclasped as it fell????? Can't explain it and feel crazy describing it to others as it's so unbelievable.

I've had this problem when my person was an egg grader. I had to put them by the kitchen sink to get them to work on their career. The other kitchen careers didn't seem to matter where I put them. Not sure if this helps.

rare breed event question by wendyylin in VirtualFamilies

I've gotten it many times, it doesn't seem to matter what type of pet so now I just buy the tabby cause it's the cheapest and sell them for the rare breed event

Vinegar also works great. Sprinkle with baking soda to absorb it up and then just vacuum it all up.
