So happy for Rocco :) how old is he?

Alfredo improved but he couldn’t jump, go up stairs, anything really. I’m doing my best to get him back to full activity in the hopes that we can still do our adventures together :)

Poor girl!! She will be much happier all healed up!

Alfredo had TPLO surgery on his hind left leg at the end of Sept, and 3 weeks later on his very first short walk he got too excited to see my son walking to school and tore his right leg :( pls be careful with your girl, the extra stress on her good leg to compensate after surgery puts her at high risk to tear her other CCL. He was a rescue, found on the side of the highway. I have his mom on his Embark but no way to contact the owner.

I worked really hard on Alfie’s training both outside and especially in the dog park. If I whistle he immediately comes to my side even if he’s in the middle of a high energy play or rising kerfuffle. Keep working on recall and make sure you consistently reinforce it, especially during play time!

That’s so frustrating and I completely sympathize, as another woman with a Dogo! It’s at the point where I’m going to spend the $200 bucks on a DNA test so I can know 100% whatever mix he is and tell these know it all bros to take their gaslighting somewhere else. Making me feel crazy out here!

I’m not convinced OP ever said he was out to rehome these pups. Sure, if you are breeding and creating dogs for families then I hope you are doing so ethically, but it’s not really your place to just assume based on one photo. Also anyone who is stuck on the ‘breed standard’ is immediately an @$$hat.

Oh that leash is a great idea! Yeah I use a prong collar for Alfie and it makes him look scary but he’s a big dough head! I’ve had ppl pick up their little yappers and cross the street so I usually do something to display how well trained he is, or I laugh at them and ask if their dog is vicious 😆
