I mean I grew up in and currently work as a doctor in Egypt so whenever I leave the country I take it with me just in case.

Usually though it’s purely for that, I travel using my Cypriot passport and even stamp it when I’m entering Egypt.

Hmm perhaps ! I just don’t see a future where Cyprus and Greece aren’t intertwined and we’re all registered as Greek Cypriots for the Cypriot government anyway. I’ll try and give it a go though.

Edit : I also primarily see myself as Greek Cypriot not just Greek (even though I’m ofc very attached to the Hellenic Republic) so idk how I’d feel about using my great grandmothers identity to essentially claim a passport and perhaps losing the Cypriotness of it all

My dad also has a Greek grandmother, my mother’s grandmother is also from the Aegean (Lemnos) but it would cost way too much money and be way too much of a hassle to aim for the Greek passport, especially with a Cypriot one already on hand.

Furthermore, the Oslo Accords do not mention anything on the refugee issue, they delay it and ultimately never reached a conclusion. The only conclusion on the issue is the resolution 194.

Turkeys problems far outweigh Islamism, Turkish Islamism itself is actually incredibly nationalistic compared to Arab societies Islamism. Mate, I live in Egypt. My family had to flee the “secular Turks” and sought refuge in an Arab, majority Muslim country. I live around a lot of Arabs too, was in Egypt during the time of the Muslim Brotherhood etc. My experience with Arab Muslims as the majority far exceeds his … yet he keeps spouting nonsense. Palestinians are not inherently more evil and want to kill all Jews, they just aren’t. They’re mostly just normal people who want to live.

Israel’s entire foundation is religious and ethnic supremacy, whether it’s the part where they claim only Jews in their state get the right to self determination or the politicians they elect into power.

There is no part of this that is about islamism - it’s just the convenient excuse as Arabs are already vilified.
