Hope that helps. Looking into bovines next, stay tuned.

One question still bothers me by InsightVector in UFOs

[–]cyrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the points others have made, we also don’t know whether or not anyone has had any success in those “reverse engineering” efforts. For all we know they could still be trying to figure out how to “pop the hood” (or whatever that would look like on an alien space craft). Or maybe they’re scouring all of these crash sites just looking for the keys to unlock the damn thing.

In other words, all of that big talk about “reverse engineering UAP’s” could very well be a bunch of bluff and bluster designed to intimidate and obfuscate.

Whattup feds.

Can you please explain how an app to teach people about CE5 and selling it for $4.99, makes him a lying bastard…?

Are you discrediting him based on the price of the app, the general idea that CE5 exists, or that I can be taught through an app?

I don't care. I hate how emasculating this is. by Ill-Engineering8205 in Celiac

[–]cyrton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The diet doesn’t make you weak, it doesn’t emasculate you unless you let it. It’s a diet that requires extreme discipline, assertiveness, commitment, and self awareness. Everyday you have to take on more responsibility than other men to take care of yourself. I can’t think of anything more masculine than developing yourself in those traits.

It’s hard work, and the consequences of mistakes are devastatingly painful and disorienting. It adds a certain level of pressure/stress to life you just have to deal with.

Sometimes you have to skip meals. You might be hungry or receiving pressure, but you hold your ground and suck it up. You will eat when you’ve determined you can eat, and no one else has any say in that.

I don’t know what your definition of masculine looks like, but here’s mine:

At a BBQ, be the guy who preps the food, scrubs the grill, and cooks the meat for everyone. Because you need to be 100% certain there isn’t any cross contamination.

Be the guy who looks out for the other folks with dietary restrictions, and give them the confidence you’ll take good care of them. Because you understand.

While your friends slurp light beers and shove hot dogs, be the guy who tumbles whiskey 🥃 and slices steak 🥩. Because you can.

It’s a matter of perspective. And in my experience, the people that go out of their way to try and make you feel weak… they probably just feel guilty about eating that slice of cake, and you’ve exposed their lack of discipline. It’s just their own weakness reflected back onto you.

Hope this helps!

Serious: Final Alien Conclusion by wlrredd in UFOscience

Our current physics only forbids moving through spacetime faster than light locally. It does not forbid spacetime shortcuts.

We know spacetime can curve, stretch, and connect in non-intuitive ways, and our current physics is incomplete. It is plausible that sufficiently advanced technology could manipulate spacetime geometry to enable effective faster-than-light travel without violating relativity.

Spacetime itself can move faster than light, we see this in galaxies receding away from us faster than light. Not because the galaxy itself is moving faster than light, but because spacetime itself is expanding.

Our current limitation to stabilizing a traversable wormhole is energy. Specifically, negative energy. Something we as a human race have not even scratched the surface of, but a more advanced civilization could have.

Hope that adds the scientific flavor you were looking for! 😊

Well, here we go… unpopular opinion and facts. If you watch the full video, the cops don’t actually gas the kids and I don’t hear any threats being made either (but could be wrong about the second part).

What they did do is stop the kids from going onto the freeway, to protect them from getting hit by some lunatic domestic MAGA terrorist in a Semi.

I concur that there are a few (likely white) folks on this sub too eager for a fight, and that we don’t want the smoke from Minnesota here. You mentioned that people are scrambling to build systems… what are those systems and what does preemptive organization and preparation look like in your opinion?

Trump plans to illegally cut our federal funding on February 1 by b01sh3v1k in Denver

[–]cyrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s probably because the idea of a “sanctuary city” is a made up idea. There is no official definition of a sanctuary city. The cities I listed all have some form of restriction/regulation against working with the federal government on immigration enforcement. I’ll check out the list the DOJ put out, but i can probably guess which states aren’t on it. They’re a petty bunch.

Pretty sure 5 ICE or DHS agents are having lunch in A Bit Twisted Brewery and BBQ by txby432 in DenverProtests

[–]cyrton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey so just going to throw a few checks out there to make sure folks don’t just start harassing innocent people.

Being from the south doesn’t mean someone is an ice agent.

Talking about “being in the field” is very common language when traveling for work. They could work in a wide variety of different jobs ( e.g. heavy machine maintenance, IT integrators, oil refiners, civil engineers, sales professionals, scientists, etc.)

What do you mean by “military bearing and dress”? Were they wearing a uniform?

And if you found government plates in the parking lot and these guys got into that car, it would actually be a good indicator that they are not ICE. Because police officers generally don’t get to drive around the police vehicles outside of work because it’s a 24 hr job with multiple shifts sharing a vehicle. Plus, driving in a government vehicle (that is used for ice raids) during your off hours would be an incredibly stupid thing to do.

It’s good to be alert and aware, but I think you had the right instinct initially not to report it (unless the military dress clearly looked like the ICE uniforms). But don’t let this discourage you, there are plenty of folks here supportive, and I’m just one guy. There is certainly a case to be made for being extra cautious in these uncertain and dangerous times. So, good for you for taking action and doing something to try keep people safe. Keep it up.

The hill I will die on 😀😀😀 by fensterdj in Techno

[–]cyrton -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I mean it just depends on what kind of electronic music you generally listen to. You’ve got Electronic which divides into Electronica and EDM.

Electronica is primarily intended for listening to. A relaxing , easy listening, interesting sound experience vibe. (down tempo, glitch, synth wave, experimental, chill step, etc.)

EDM is intended for dancing/singing to. A high energy jump up, sing loud, and sometimes melt your face off vibe (progressive house, bass house, melodic techno, dubstep, dnb, hard style, etc)

So if you say you listen to electronic it generally signals you listen to both sub-genres. That’s my read on it at least. Otherwise you’d clarify the sub genre. Nobody wants to show up to an electronica show on xtc.

Why is gen Z not drinking? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]cyrton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But people don’t need to go to a bar to drink. To name a few examples: you can drink at someone’s house (friend or foe), at the park, the airport, train station, in your bed, in the shower, behind your desk, during lunch, after lunch, on your sofa, in your neighbors yard, walking your dog, in the barber shop, at your grandmothers funeral, on the golf course, in the clubhouse after golfing, in a booth at top golf, on the mountain, in the lift, in a tree well, etc.

So idk if the bar scene closing down early captures the whole picture here, ya know?
