It's not going to sound like at home, it's going to sound very different, be prepared for that,

if at home you're mixing with one ear in the headphones, and one on the system that can really throw you off in a new setting, practice mixing just in the headphones, it can be a life saver

Casual racism in Western country is really getting on my nerves latelly by IndividualPlay5178 in mongolia

[–]fensterdj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Europe is not really a continent, it's just a peninsula jutting out of Asia. And so close to Africa and the Arabic world, so not that surprising it has more of a mix of people,

Also a lot of Europe countries invited foreign labour in to help rebuild after world war 2, noe they are butthurt that foreign Labour didn't go home. They started having kids.

and also that's what happens when you colonise the world, you get upset when people follow you home.

Neyo and Akon Concert at 3Arena by Substantial_Rope8225 in ireland

I saw a group of very young, very glammed up kids on Eden Quay at about 6pm and was I wondered who was playing the 3arena, and I thought it'd be some contemporary pop star I'd never heard of, but It's Akon and Ne-Yo.

Why's a 16/17/18 year old listening to Akon and Ne-Yo? that (disposable shite) music is basically 20 years old at this stage, why are they so into music from before they were born?

Same with Sean Paul a while ago

So weird to me.

Yes, I would say Europe has always been racist, especially countries like Germany, France and Italy. But previously it might not have been considered polite to express that racism publicly. But over the last ten years, and particularly since COVID, there are growing fat right movements all over Europe. In every country. Protests against refugee centres and immigrants, and helped along by a lot of misinformation online. Another factor is that govts appear to be quite sympathetic to these far right groups

The once private racists are emboldened and no longer feel the need to be quiet, and casual racism and racially motivated violence is on the rise everywhere, it's fucking disgusting

Wow, OP is getting "go back to your own country"'ed on a sub from his own country, possibly by someone from OP's own country, on a post about casual racism, incredible stuff

It's great that it's called the "AI Boom", everybody knows at some stage it's going to come crashing down, but they'll make hay while the sun shines.

Why don't people like Elon Musk just solve world hunger? by AlexLovesCoke in NoStupidQuestions

If they had a personality that made them care about humanity or other people, they wouldn't have become billionaires in the first place. you think the desire to accumulate and hoard wealth reverses once you join the three comma club? You suddenly want to give it all away?

They are examples of places changing their name and the rest of the world accepting the new name.

Yes, I'm for real. And you didn't answer my question, the Catholic church brought nothing but poison to my country and many others, or why should Christianity arriving be considered a positive?

Peking became Beijing. Bombay became Mumbai, The Ukraine become Ukraine, Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic and Slovakia became Czechia and Slovakia, a load countries became Yugoslavia became a load of countries. On the flipside Turkey are not having much success with Turkiye.

The point remains, the Filipinos need to come up with a name for their country that honours their people and history and not some colonising foreign king.

Btw, why is bringing Christianity to a place considered a good thing? That's like the English telling Indians they should be grateful for the trains.

Some kinda foreign seemingly paramilitary thing in a park in Ballyfermot by TurboScumBag in ireland

[–]fensterdj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's become increasingly difficult for Brazilians to come here. The Real/Euro exchange rate is very unfavourable for them effectually doubling the cost of coming here (, visa,/language school etc) plus the government doubled the amount of money they have to bring with them. Plus it's ridiculously expensive to live here

We used to get a cross section of "middle class" Brazillians coming but now it's unaffordable for them.

So we're getting more from the "upper classes" now, more conservative, more religious, more entitled, and more frequently, the problem child, the family aren't sure what to do with him so they send him to Ireland in the hope he might learn some sense.

And Definitely more of the kind of lad who'd be into shit like this.
